I am a Guiseley fan and have been for the past three or so seasons so whilst I have some good knowledge about our club I’m no expert. I was talking to some friends the other day and I had my Guiseley shirt on and they asked me what the symbols on our badge meant. Naturally the 1909 speaks for itself and the club name too however what does the cross actually represent?
(Apologies if this is a stupid question I just really don’t know)

I believe it's the cross of Oswald of Northumbria / St Oswald

If you check out the local church (St Oswald’s) and schools and cricket club you’ll see the cross in their logos/badges. But I’ve also noticed it catching my eye in unexpected places elsewhere in the country, so the St Oswald cross definitely is a real thing, not just a Guiseley area thing. As a point of interest, the 1909 is in our badge because (when I was fortunate enough to be involved with designing it) a couple of our fellow forum members suggested it needed a little bit more to identify it as “us” and be slightly more distinct from other badges and logos around here.
