All,
I just wanted to clear up a few things about the comments that have been made about Steve.
I can assure everyone that Steve has the backing of all the players in the ressies dressing room, as for bullying, this is untrue, Steve will never criticise a player in front of all the other players in the dressing room, he will talk to you on a one to one basis after the match, during training etc. So that’s not bullying, he is explaining to players where and how they need to develop! How can you ever develop with out being given feedback. I can say this because he has done this with me this season (explained I needed to be fitter than I am, which I agreed with his point) and when I was at the club two season ago before I joined Ossett Albion he gave me development areas to work on in my own time & training. So Steve is 0% a bully!
Who ever "Guiseley" is, sounds to me like it’s a player, or there parent who is not getting picked! If you were a real supporter of the club you would get behind the lads and wish them well for the season. If you are a player you might have to work that bit harder in training and show your commitment by attending training sessions etc.
I don’t usually post things on the forum but I just think I had to let the people know that Steve & Paul have the backing of all the players within the dressing room.
The main point of the U19's/Ressies is so that each and every player can develop and play football at the highest standard, playing against good players on good pitches. All our aims is to be in the first team but you cant just give 100% and expect to be put in the 1st team you have to give 120% and have something a little bit different to the other players around you.
