Dickinson; Hay, Ellis, Cotterill, Agus; Camfield (Walters), Dunne, Dunning, Bett; Knight (Greaves), Hanson (Rickers). becoming quite a ex farsley team like osset with rickers bett dunne and now camfield on loan and mcguire comming next yes and we had Andy Firbank supporting Guiseley today as well. He needed to see what a home crowd looked like and feel what it was like to win ;D ;D ;D R

Well good performance by guiseley the defence was a bit shaky tho but hey we won and thats all that matters. James Hanson got injured in the second half. The first half was a bit dull till the 45th minute when Bettsy took a penalty and slammed it in to the top corner. The second half began with an early James Hanson goal and then later on a brilliant Dunne goal. But dunnes finish to the game wasnt brilliant he got sent off for grabbing 1 of their players round the neck then hoving him in the upper chest.Highlight of the match:When we got a penalty and a great goal in to the top corner Lowlight of the match: The sending off or conceding the goal Attendance: 402 Man of the match: Bettsy Worst man of the match: no oneBest goal: Bettsy's penalty[glow=red,2,300]AB[/glow] Did you watch the game today? - Matlock had two shots on goal - one dicko saved the other went in - so the defence did there job! I admit there were a couple of 6 yard scrambles but nothing came of it. No the defence did well today. R

Did you watch the game?
What about the countless free kicks in the first half that were conceded around the edge of the box that were struck at goal?
Or the good save your keeper made before you made it 2-0, or scrambled save after it was 3-1? Presumably they dont count then?
Fair play on your win, but 3-1 was a bit flattering.

I think Matlock's interpretation of shots is about as far apart from us as they are in miles. They certainly had a few set pieces which mostly flew all over the place in the following wind. Most of these were no where near the intended target. Mind, conceding free kicks in such dangerous positions needs to be addressed by team management as we won't get away with that every match.
Guisleey played generally really well against the strong wind in the first half and set up the match nicely for the second and icing on the cake. With fairness to Matlock, they were a decent side make to look fairly ordinary in catching Guiseley at the start of a number of good match days I feel. The squad is now seems to be shaping up and nicely balanced with youth and experience, strength and quality, compeitiveness and competition. Its going to be a very interesting run-in and a Farsley style approach of catch 'em at the finishing line.
