Really good performance against Halifax tonight, played in a very competitive spirit throughout.
Another cracking goal from the quicksilver David Brown and we're really looking like a team who can do something this season...
Well done to the lads, and bring on Cammell Laird!

Dont think tonight was a great performance but to win against a side who will do well this season was pleasing. We looked tired which is understandable considering that was our third game in 5 days. All in all I think pre season has gone very well, apart from the Hemsworth performance and we look ready for the challenge ahead. The new signings have settled in well,we look very fit and we want to play with the ball on the ground, hopefully the form we have been showing is only the start and we will get better as the season progresses. Thanks for your support during pre season and lets hope we get a good turnout next Saturday when the serious stuff starts,im sure we will. From our part we will try to produce not only atractive attacking football but winning football and make Nethermoor a fortress once again.3 wins from 3 home games pre season its heading in the right direction LOL

Last night was my first PSF and I thought it was a reasonable performance against a side whose players are above Unibond Div 1 North standard. I'm glad that the management are working on a passing game and the players looked capable of it at times last night (although I must admit to drifting off a couple of times in the second half) Brown looks good for a boy of 12. Or is that a sign that my knowledge of the new players isn't up to scratch. Now that the squad is complete for the start of the season is there any chance of updating the profiles on the main site?

Oh and I witnessed something funny at the game last night. An injured 'Fax player arrived late and flustered to watch the game. During a break in play he started having a go at one of the on field players for the directions he'd given him, which in full was a text saying only "Harry Ramsden's." The lad who was late then said " I didn't even know if Guiseley was a proper place." Well his small-medium sized town club got beat by the team from somewhere that he'd never heard of.

The lads looked tired last night especially against the lively front 3 of Halifax but i thought we did well and brown looks a good signing, hes got clever movement, pace and an eye for goal so it looks like the management have one or two decisions to make? any chance of a front 3 Wayne ?
