Strange set up, strange design. No details of membership...
Last few times v Guiseley:
Always seem to be tough opponents We never seem to wallop them, but then they never seem to wallop us, either. Have been memorable in recent seasons largely for their previous Manager, Phil Starbuck, who seemed to shout and ball about everything to the bewilderment of almost everybody else in the ground. Used the f-word a lot and kept calling people what my Mum would call 'rude names'...
News from the close season:
Lost ace goalscorer, Adam Muller to....errr....us, actually!.. and their huge loss is our huge gain.
The close season has season huge changes at the club with a new management set-up including new Charman, new Manager and the the total revamping of the team to the extent that only two of last seasons first team actually remain.
Pre-season form has been patchy with defeats against a Leicester City XI, Retford Town, Hucknall and Mansfield Town against a solitary 3-1 win against what their website calls 'a youthful Nottingham Forest side' last Friday night. That'll be the Forest U-19's with a couple of ballboys and their mates, presumably...
What we do think of them and/or how much do they annoy us?:
Not much and...err..not much.
What's their Forum like?
Not the worst Forum ever, but far from being the best and is, quite honestly, slightly dull. It cetainly isn't Imp Stalk and neither is it anywhere as lively as a certain Forum not very far from here...
Likely prospects this season:
Could struggle to equal last season's 17th position. The days are long and warm just now, and everything starts anew, but what are those strange birds that I see sitting in the trees?...
