Morning all, Yesterday we launched the just giving page for the raise the roof campaign and are hoping that everyone supports it in any way they can. Monthly donations are also available, link attached below justgiving.com/crowdfunding/raisetheroofgafc If you haven't read the clubs statement on the proposed development and crowdfunder i have attached it here. guiseleyafc.co.uk/an-update-on-our-plans-for-nethermoor/If anyone would like to help out in any way or have any ideas that could potentially raise money please let us know. Good cause, but could do with more information on the Just Giving Page. What happens if such plans don't have or get planning approval?
Personally I'd suggest scrapping the 3G pitch and invest in the stand instead. Know that won't happen as now its set in stone and part of the clubs financial model going forward.

I don't want to put a downer on this (I'm all for the fundraising) but I'm not sure that that amount of money can be raised without something more concrete on the Just Giving page and that probably needs more information from the clubs owners.
I know it costs money, but proper planning drawings and an outline of the project. Such schemes usually also gain funding from the appropriate funding bodies.
Reading the clubs comments that funding is probably exhausted if they are seeking funds for the development of any other new facilities where the artificial pitch is currently located.
From past experience, I'm wary of what I've read from the club on this. Perhaps some relevant information could be provided? I'm not sure that any planning would be agreed to develop on the area where the current artificial pitch is? Given years of refusal from Leeds City Council who only approve house building! How could we develop that area when we don't own the land?

I’m looking forward to walking to Liversedge at the end of November. The away fixtures have not been kind. A nice spring walk would have been preferable!
Can we get a chart up in the ground to show how we are progressing towards the total?

Can we get a chart up in the ground to show how we are progressing towards the total? Agreed - it would be great to have somewhere (either in the ground or a monthly update on the website) showing how much has been raised. We have the just giving page, buckets at the ground, people selling memorabilia and the Buy A Brick offer all collecting money towards the £150,000 target so it would be great to have a regular update for this.

Agree on everything said, we will be providing updates on money raised every week or so. Glad people are interested in the walk also! 6 aside tournament also incoming as well as a guest speaker night which is set to be confirmed. Thanks James

Having read Danny Forest saying "One in, all in", I'm wondering if the players could all donate their match fee for one game towards this.

Hard to resist making a self deprecating joke about our playing budget!

Apologies if I have missed it, but has there been any update on how successful the bucket collections etc. are proving? I caught the announcement about the grant recently, but was wondering how all the other initiatives were going? If everyone threw some shrapnel/loose change into the buckets each match we would be well on the way I feel. Having said that, and seen quite a few away grounds at NLN and NPLP level, and how the various clubs have covered their terracing behind the goals, I’m not sure we have to spend £150k to achieve what is required at Nethermoor? Thanks. Appreciate any feedback.

I have been to most away grounds at this level (which is a good barometer for what we need).
I do believe the price quoted does seem high although I understand costs and labour have increased. Is there anyway that we could prep the site and save on costs (digger, skips etc)?
The away end at Belper would ideally suit what we need. Can we explore conversations with these clubs to fact find on costs, companies who carried out the works. I might be wrong but have we sort other quotations?
One thing that I thought of, to bring a level of opportunity to all, is a day out with the team at an away day (bus, pre match, post match etc), or a curry night with the players. Everyone could enter a price draw for £20 and two lucky (could he more) people could win. Just a thought that reaches the masses and is relative. Subject to player and club approval of course.

Hello all, Few points raised regarding the 150k target. This is a target based on stadium solutions original guide (this was based on 12 terraced steps and cover) we are currently awaiting drawings and more pricing options. When we get these we will share on here/social media. We have had other quotes from a couple of other companies but so far stadium solutions are by far the cheapest and have a great reputation. I love the idea of a curry night and will suggest that, i could possibly get some sponsorship from the restaurant if we could get some good numbers. With the £20,000 from the councillors we are now over £25,000. this is with bricks, collections and sponsorship. Yesterday mark did brilliantly selling out of mulled wine raising over £50 with bucket collections over £100 from the previous couple of home games. The lottery is set to raise £3000 a year for us as it stands, if anyone can spare £1 a week it's a massive help. www.onelottery.co.uk/support/raise-the-roof-guiseley-afcBrick sales are currently fairly low but i hope these will improve as we get closer to the target. yorkshire-gods-own-county.com/products/raise-the-roof-brick?_pos=1&_sid=f5d26c40e&_ss=r

Thanks for the update Broomaldo. Keep up the good work! Looking forward to a possible curry night, and definitely some mulled wine at our matches over the festive period.
