Richard the reason you state for getting rid of the old stand are just my reasons for restoring it. There isn't much of the old Guiseley that I was brought up in left and that stand to me is Nethermoor Park. Build another stand by all means but not there. In fact I think it should be made a listed building!!!!! I know I am in the minority and I am a great believer in democracy but to me it will be a sad day if and when it is demolished. I remember playing in the old band stand in the 60's and watching football back then. I also remember the old changing rooms and club house/tea room that stood on the car park in front of the bowling green - that went ages ago like the band stand should have! no please lets move on and bring the club and ground in to the modern game! note, i also advocate knocking down the cricket/football pavilion and turning the pitch around - but that would mean kicking the cricket club out (Wash my mouth out with soap)! You're safe, Richard. I don't think the cricket club actually recognize our existence, so it's unlikely they'll come on here and read any of this...

Richard I am sure your Dad will provide the soap and water. Tell you what disguiselee you can keep the old bandstand if i can turn the pitch around and use it as the Ings Lane kop end behind one of the goals! You are correct on the soap and water! R

Take your point Yeadoner but its that rich and diverse mix of individuals that makes the Forum so interesting with views from Keighley, Yeadon, Otley, Bradford, Leeds, Farsley, Crofton etc: and all points North, South, East and West united by one common (uni)bond.
