Some interesting and differing views above. Personally, I enjoyed the match and thought there were plenty of openings at both ends if few clearcut chances. Consistency of selection is not easy: Harris, Smith, Dean, Kellett all out. Vaughan was missing for a few games; Croft has hardly played. Walker missed yesterday. I don't think we can judge the team until at least 2 or 3 of the long term injured players are back.

Was pleased that we were able to hold it to the draw. At our level I feel that the major difficulty to keeping a settled starting team is always going to be injuries and that in my opinion will always be the case with part time players who also have to hold down jobs. Therefore as much cover as possible in every position is needed and that takes the old chestnut money.

I quite liked Warrington. I think they’re the best footballing team I’ve seen so far this season. They played an open, expansive game, and never resorted to the type of cheating and gameship that we’ve seen from other sides. I was happy with a point in the end, and thought Kyle Trenerry was a pretty easy choice for Man of the Match. A word of praise, too, for the referee. He allowed the game to flow and couldn’t have been more different from the one we had at Hyde last week who wasn’t happy to happy to let more than a minute pass without blowing up for things that only he appeared to see… ………… Yes credit the referee for going largely unnoticed and refereeing with common sense. Rylands played decent football, didn’t unduly whinge or play act or try and influence the referee like so many teams do. They were clearly following the standard set by their interim manager who showed passion without resorting to the useful theatrics, abuse and constant harassing of the referee that is often sadly witnessed at Nethermoor

Curious how the club website described it as a ‘bore draw’ as I thought it was a rather entertaining match, not least because of Rylands positive approach which ensured an open game with plenty of chances created. Rylands will feel that they should have won and would have if Trennery had not made a couple of superb saves. Guiseley weaknesses were consistent with recent matches - didn’t score before half time, conceded the first goal, couldn’t dominate midfield, not clinical enough in front of goal, Cassidy too isolated. That said, I reckon we would have lost that game three weeks ago and the players dug in well after going behind to earn a point. Mbeka is a decent player at this level and brings steel and mobility to midfield. There were a number of other decent performances in the team as well. Some definite signed of improvement and if we can get some of the key injured players back soon there is hope that we might start to climb the league from our current 14th position, which is probably a bit generous as most teams have matches in hand on Guiseley.
