Should be a fun game for the neutral? They’re a high scoring side with a leaky defence.

Looking forward to the game and hopefully 3 points but …
Surprised to see Lewis Hey has gone out on loan. He was instrumental in securing 2 of our early season wins when coming off the bench.

Warrington Rylands are an interesting club. They’ve been promoted five times in the last six seasons, won the FA Vase last May and at the start of the 2017-18 season six levels on the league pyramid separated us and them.

It’s Paul Stretford isn’t it? I imagine that makes them well funded and well connected. I didn’t know anything about them before this season, so others will know more

Entertaining game to watch conditions not great with the swirling wind. Poor finishing and great goalkeeping from Kyle kept us in the game. Thought we battled well just got a bit over run in midfield giving them to much time on the ball. Caused a lot of our own problems playing out from the back. Well deserved point for Guiseley when we get players back from injury we will be a match for any team in this league. Onwards and upwards.

I quite liked Warrington. I think they’re the best footballing team I’ve seen so far this season. They played an open, expansive game, and never resorted to the type of cheating and gameship that we’ve seen from other sides.
I was happy with a point in the end, and thought Kyle Trenerry was a pretty easy choice for Man of the Match.
A word of praise, too, for the referee. He allowed the game to flow and couldn’t have been more different from the one we had at Hyde last week who wasn’t happy to let more than a minute pass without blowing up for things that only he appeared to see…

An enjoyable game at times this afternoon with plenty of shots from both sides but little in terms of quality to finish chances off. N'Mai caused us problems all afternoon and had the first chance of the afternoon when he forced Trenerry into a good stop one on one. We had two good opportunities after though, Johnston cut in and shot over before Haw flicked on to Cassidy but his shot bounced over the bar. Qasim did really well to bring down Trenerry's long ball forward before pulling it back for Emery but he fired over. Nield had an excellent opportunity in the final 10 minutes but headed just wide. The final chance of the half fell to Nield but he fired well wide of the mark. Early in the second half Vaughan nearly broke the deadlock through a deflected cross but Tickle made a good save at his near post. Two minutes later though it was the visitors who took the lead from the spot, Vaughan caught N'Mai and Dolan sent Trenerry the wrong way. They didn't lead for long though, just four minutes later Johnston crossed in for Mbeka who powered a header home. Then a few minutes later we nearly took the lead, Johnston found Haw with a cross but the header drifted wide of the mark. Johnston forced Tickle into a good save with a header too but Rylands countered and Trenerry showed great awareness to dash off his line and prevent Dolan bagging a second. Johnston and Haw linked up once more in the final 10 minutes but Adam couldn't find the target with a flicked shot. That was that and we had to take a draw. All in all the game could have gone either way. Well played Guiseley! Onto Whitby Town in the FA Trophy on Saturday and a rare free midweek. Come on Guiseley! AB

After two solid displays at Hyde and Gainsborough we looked like a side who had just met before kick off this afternoon. The midfield with the exception of Lebrun Mbeka was lergely absent this afternoon and we had to rely on our keeper to rescue a point at home! Iv'e mention it before but playing Jake Cassidy as a lone striker is a waste of his talents especially witn Moh Qasim stuck on the left wing instead of playing alongside Cassidy where he has bagged two goals, with Adam Haw occupying the space behind them. As with last season it seems we ignore our best formation in favour of how manangemet think we should play. So imo the two Danny's need to have the courage of their convictions instead of playing a system that hasn't worked for the last three seasons.

I thought it was a fairly decent performance against a good team.
It is probably worth noting that in twelve league matches so far this season, that is only the second time (after Morpeth) that we have been able to come back from trailing to rescue a result so I am pleased we didn’t wilt after conceding the penalty.

I have only seen our home games but apart from Marine & Matlock haven’t seen a team that appears better than us. For Rylands to rise as fast as they have suggests some serious financial backing but in the first half they were very ordinary. With the wind at their backs, they were much better and probably deserved a win. So perhaps it was a good point and as Mike25 says we came from behind. So why do I feel so meh. I think the standard of football has clearly dropped substantially from the heady heady days of National League and Ive yet to be convinced that the 2 Dannys know their best formation, best 11 etc. The only regulars appear to be Jameel, Ethan, Jake, JJ. The rest appear to get 3 games and then ditched for the latest incumbents. Im guessing some are injured but what has Cadman done wrong an how does Sikora get anywhere near the starting 11. Feels like its going to be a very long season….

I don't know if it's that they don't know their best team so much as a case of the best team not being available and trying to find a way around that. Specifically, they don't have anyone who can boss the midfield and every game in this league seems to be a real battle for control of that area in which we usually come off second best.
When we have control of midfield, we can play a passing game into Cassidy's feet and look very good. When we don't it ends up going long to his head, which is really not something he's suited to.
Every change to the team has seemed to be an attempt at fixing the absence of Luke Dean and George Smith. Until a consistent solution is found I don't think they will perform consistently. The good news is that I think getting Mbeka back is the best solution so far and his availability record has always been good so there's an opportunity for some stability there.
Personally, I would have had Cadman in the side and left Haw out, but Adam had a good game last week so maybe man management has to trump tactics there.
