Whither the Stocks Stand Ultras?

I thought today’s attendance was surprisingly very low, and part of it must have been down to the absence of our very own ‘Guiseley Ultras’ who usually frequent the George Stocks stand.

Can anyone explain their absence, or were there holed up somewhere else in the ground and simply keeping their powder dry for our home games in the league?

After a complaint raised at the Supporters Club AGM about their behaviour the club agreed to speak to the group of young fans to spell out what was and wasn’t acceptable behaviour.

They have been largely conspicuous by their absence since.

Whilst their is no doubt that they on occasions crossed the line between banter and abuse, Nethermoor has been a more sedate place of late. Some would say lacking in atmosphere.

A case of be careful what you wish for.

There again we play FC United in 10 days time…hopefully if they do come to that game they will get behind the team in the right way.

I will happily take sedate over foul mouthed witless abuse. They offer no support to the team

If they have left through being ‘censored’ it’s a shame they found the option of being civil so unappealing.
