I'd hardly suggest the strikers are out of form. Granted they're not scoring with the regularity they were in August/early september but they were never gonna keep that up once other teams got wind of the system we've been playing. 8 goals in 11 games for James Hanson puts him on average of 29 for the season.
Hardly out of form that!

I wouldn't knock any of the other strikers, but a hungry and confident Gavin in the squad could only be a plus. It would add to the number of differently-balanced combinations in attack and midfield and should relieve pressure on the others.
Come to that, how long before Dino Walters is given a chance?

Didn't think I was being controversial - facts are that our four strikers, Hanson, Smith, Pell and Bett between them scored 17 goals in the first eight games and one in the next six. Given they are principally in the team to put the ball in the back of the net, I would say they are currently struggling. I agree that Hanson has done well in the season to date. Lets hope they all come back into goalscoring form on Saturday - I suspect they will need to if we are going to win.

Just get Gavin back; we all know he belongs here...And while we're on with getting people back; I still refuse to stop hoping that we'll yet see Dom Krief, Richard Dunning and Craig Hall in the middle of our midfield...

Its great that Gav is doing so well, the only thing that worries me about bringing him back too soon is if he quickly goes back to warming the bench with his bum and then we would be in trouble because he would not have any reason to stay but we would hope TD is still 'communicating'with him or is that another thing he doesn't do like wingers.

Come to think of it, much as I'd be happy to see Gavin back I'd be even happier for him to stay at Lincoln this week and stick five past Gateshead!
