Shame these games aren't included within the season ticket price. Would probably get a bigger crowd if they were and with takings from food / bar etc probably would still be better off overall.

The less said about last night the better. A decent team who played like the match was very important to them versus a bunch of individuals who looked like they had never played together - which was probably true. All five of the goals conceded were worse than schoolboy defending and we had nothing up front apart from Adam Haw who cant do it on his own. At the end of the day the management need to give some of the fringe players an opportunity and the County Cup must be the right place to do so - so fair enough I suppose. More d than half of the starting line up have featured in the first team at some point this season but I wouldn’t expect more than one or two to feature in the next game - a sign of how the squad is evolving. Good to see Dean play 70 mins with no apparent problems.

A tough night and an early exit from the County Cup. Horbury were the better side and deserved their win. The game got off to a fast start with Damba saving a shot from the visitors before we countered at Chimalilo saw an effort hit the post roll across the line and then be cleared. Cusworth made no mistake with his next chance though and slotted past Damba when through one on one. After a few chances for both sides it was Foley Nkem who equalised after a scramble in the box, the midfielder finished well. Then five minutes before half-time Horbury got their second when Kyeremeth fired home. The second half couldn't have got off to a worst start when Agu fired home a loose ball just one minute in. Just six minutes later though Chimalilo halved the deficit with a well taken goal. Haw nearly pulled it back to 3-3 when his lob looked destined to be heading in but was saved. Agu got his second with a header from a corner to effectively kill all hopes of a win. Agu added a third four minutes later. Wood and Haw both came close but it was the visitors who left with a win. Onto Belper Town away on Saturday. Come on Guiseley! AB
