There will be a pitch inspection on Saturday at 9:30am ahead of our Isuzu FA Trophy third round tie with FC Halifax Town at Nethermoor.

I assume highly likely to be off as its is scheduled to be freezing overnight on Thursday and Friday and has been every other night this week. So presumably will be rearranged for next Tuesday when it should be much warmer and the scheduled Lancaster league match gets rescheduled for sometime in the New Year?

BBC forecast for Guiseley is 5, 14 and 8 degrees respectively for Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, so I'd concur with cdp.

If it's a 9.30 inspection the pitch won't have had a chance to thaw so presumably the inspection is a formality

A picturesque but not very encouraging scene at Nethermoor this morning 🙏 Random question is there some point to having a cover on such a small part of the pitch? Surely if we cant cover the whole pitch there's not much point. Am I missing something? |

The reason why the covers are applied in that corner of the ground is it doesn't get any sun because of the shade from the stands.
The rest of the pitch does get sun on it which helps it thaw naturally.

Really solid performance - didn’t give away many chances, had good spells of attacking possession, no bad performances in the eleven. I’m encouraged.
Halifax will think they scraped the goal and were fairly comfortable the rest of the game, and they’re right too. But tonight we mainly needed a performance to show us the players were getting stuck into this new challenge and I think we got it.
