We can confirm tonight’s Pitching In Northern Premier League Premier Division fixture with Lancaster City has been called off.

Following freezing overnight conditions with continued low temperatures until kick-off and an inspection the game was called off due to a frozen pitch.

We will announce the new date as soon as it has been confirmed.

Not surprising given the forecast. Spare a thought for Marske United - their game is off yet again tonight. They have now played one league match in the last 66 days - it will be 70 days by the next scheduled match at the weekend so 1 league match in 10 weeks! They still have 24 league matches to play and have 8 games in hand on some teams. There’s 14 Saturdays left in the season and bound to be more weather related postponements in February so safe to say they are on two games a week for the rest of the season!
