Great second half, turned into a really fun game. It was so nice for Nethermoor to feel like Nethermoor again - a really nice atmosphere and lovely to see families with little ones playing happily around the ground.

Great day. I had a set of fears and hopes about today. If I could have described my ideal day at 9am it would pretty much have reflected what happened!
I think the club deserve a huge amount of credit for the action to ensure today was a positive atmosphere. Jameel was my man of the match I thought he was immense today. Courtney was excellent and Lewis made the difference with the first goal. Delighted with Adam Haw’s contribution too.
Very happy tonight.

A great day and another four goals, its been a long time since we have struck four on successive Saturdays! The first half was incredibly stop start due to a few injuries and never really seemed to get going. Like on Tuesday night we did create several openings in the first 45 but couldn't make any of them count. Whitham probably had the best chance of the lot when Belford made a misjudgement coming for a ball played forward, the winger just had to fire it into the empty net but his shot flew wide. Whitham had another couple of opportunities but we couldn't find the target, it looked as if a repeat of Tuesday night could be on the cards. Ible made a tackle that was as celebrated as much as a goal would be to deny Stafford from having a one on one with Mason before the visitors hit the bar with a header. Mason also had to save another header late into the half. Adam Haw was introduced at the break and the striker made a good impact in the half but it was Whitham who opened the scoring with an absolute rocket. He picked up the ball on the left hand side an cut in before firing an unstoppable shot into the goal, simply sensational. Five minutes later we had a penalty and Meppen-Walters stepped up to score to spark a mocking of Belford by Whitham who dived several times like the keeper had just done when trying to prevent the penalty. We were pushing hard at this point and well worthy of our lead against a side who looked to have run out of ideas and were heavily hit by the withdrawal of two players through injury. With five minutes left it was 3-0 when Haw soaked up a rebounded shot to extend the lead. Then Ible, after not scoring for years, got his second in a week in injury time from a corner. An excellent reaction from Tuesday's late sucker punch. Well played Guiseley! Onto an intriguing trip to Matlock on Tuesday night. Come on Guiseley! AB

Listened to the game with excellent commentary from Colin and Nik. Thank you. Fantastic win. Like many first half not easy but second half came out so positive and what a reaction from the team. Regarding man of the match - yes Lewis had a good game but I thought Jameel and Courtney were strong contenders especially for their excellent defender but also goals scored. Well done to all the squad . Onto Tuesday at Matlock, another important 3 points to gain. Will be listening in,even though in a bar!! 😊😊

Wouldn't have given odds on us scoring four second half goals but we upped the ante in the second period and it paid of handsomely. Like others I think Jameel Ible and Courtney Meppen-Walters ran Lewis close for MoM but hey it's a team game. Good to see that the clubs efforts to stop the morons in their tracks also seems to have worked and we still had a crowd over 600.

If Lewis Whitham hadn’t launched that rocket when he did, I reckon Jameel Ible was a racing cert for Man of the Match. It’ll have to be a great goal to stop the ‘rocket’ sailing on to be Goal of the Season, but that last ditch perfect stop from Jameel when their forward was clean through looked like a shoe-in for Tackle of the Season such was its near perfect timing and precision.
I thought that second half performance was the best fun we’ve had all season, and I’m only sorry that it was Stafford who were on the end of it. Their supporters were a thoroughly decent bunch of people, and neither they or their players or staff deserved the abuse they had to endure from a small group of teenage fans down by the tunnel at the end. It seems the club have dealt with the main group of the nutters with great success, but that remaining lot let us down again today.
There’s still a bit of work to do out there in the pitch, and there’s still a few more tweaks required to sort out a few ‘fans’, but all the good bits yesterday went a long way towards renewing the faith at every level.
Upwards and onwards from here now…. ………

Come on guys show a bit of class and humility in victory.

It’s a shame to see some people still feel that adjustments need to be made to the fanbase. ive been in full support of backing the club in kicking out certain scum which have over stepped the mark. But the last 3 games… marske, FCUM and stafford there has been absolutely no trouble. Abit of banter with the keeper and Tom Tonks (who fully deserves it after what happened earlier in the season) is not “trouble”. I feel like it’s got to the point where some are becoming way too sensitive and it’s killing the little bit of atmosphere that we’ve accumulated over the past few years. I personally was bantering back and forth with the keeper in both halves and we saw each other at full time and had a cracking conversation and shook hands. No trouble caused at all yesterday so I think it’s unfair that some feel more changes need to be made.

After the overhead kick which poleaxed (allegedly) the Stafford defender who appeared to be out cold, why wasn't he subjected to a full head injury assessment before being allowed to play on? Or aren't players below Football League level permitted to have head injuries?

Enjoyed Saturday. Yes, well done to the club for the crowd control. Agree the Stafford fans were a decent bunch. One very informative about the Division and who gets paid what!
Every player deserves credit for their performance. Thought Chippendale also worth a mention second half. Maybe Whitham provided the stand out moment, not sure if he should control his showboating though for when or if he plays at a higher level.

Football is a funny game - we score four on consecutive Saturdays without playing particularly well and none on Tuesday evening which was the best of the three performances in my view - perhaps other than the finishing which was also absent in the first half on Saturday, where we failed to get the pressing game going resulting in a pretty dull 45 minutes of relative stalemate. A rocket from the manager I suspect lead to a much more intense start to the second half and once Whithams excellent effort had broken the deadlock it always looked likely we would press home the advantage which Stafford contributed to through conceding a sloppy penalty. Our centre backs were the standout players for me - Meppen-Walters and Ible were both commanding throughout. Despite winning we remain six points outside the playoffs. I think our fate will be determined over the next four matches, three of which are against teams above us - Matlock, Warrington and Radcliffe. Add in the Lancaster game and I think we need a minimum 8 points from the four matches to stay in contention.

Funny interview. I guess he must be under some job pressure. Who were our "press guys" who said it wasn't a penalty? In real time I thought it looked like Kallan had drawn a foul that would be given elsewhere on the pitch. (In retrospect it wasn't so much 'drawn' as 'grabbed with pliers and extracted against the defender's wishes') Then there's a bit of that irritating "I'm not going to say X", which is another way of "I am saying X, but I want to sound like I'm not making excuses".
