Hi. I am Rob from the Yellows Independent Supporters Trust and on Saturday, on the 16th minute of our game, we are asking fans to join us in with a minutes applause for Brianne Ghey, who was murdered in Warrington last Saturday. She was only 16 years old, hence the 16th minute. We will be in the shed at the far end when it takes place. Please feel free to take part of you are at the game

Such sad news and thanks for letting us know how you’re planning to pay respects in the game on Saturday.
Should be a tight game too - good luck to your team.

Here’s hoping in a couple of hours we’re celebrating another three points, or at least talking about the football!

A point gained on the road at the end of a poor game which never really got going. The first half only had one shot and that was one from distance which went straight into Mason’s hands. We had a shout for a penalty when Abadaki was challenged by Gumbs, the centre back won the ball but left his foot in on the number 10. The second half was the better of the two but it was only really Thompson who was forced into a proper save. We started the half well but both Whelan and Whitham couldn’t find the target It was Meppen-Walters who forced Thompson into a good save, his header looked to be beating the keeper but he got a good hand on it to push it wide. Smith’s cross came off the bar with Thompson scrambling to stop the effort. Whitham had a good opening when he brought down a long ball and cut in from the left, his shot was blocked and Abadaki couldn’t react quickly enough to poke goalwards. Mason nearly scored from a goal kick but Thompson was in the right place to ensure it went over. Harris had a good chance after Whelan stole possession in the middle of their half, the defender opted to shoot from range but it was an easy stop for Thompson. Warrington had a good spell in the final minute with a shot cleared off the line and another stopped by Mason. It proved to be their final chance of the game. A good point against a good side and we’re now just two points off the play offs. Onto Lancaster at home on Tuesday night. Come on Guiseley! AB

And a tight game it turned out to be.
We’re getting closer… next two weeks are huge. Need to find some goals with Lewis out. Beat Lancaster, Radcliffe and Gainsborough and we will be in the playoff zone. Do a partial job and we’ll be in the mix. Come unstuck and we’ll be relying on others.
So good to be looking upwards again!!

Resilience is such an important quality and allows you to grind out results when the football isn't flowing

Not quite at the level of recent weeks but ground out a point regardless, so that’s good. Bit lively at times on the field but pleasingly (as far as I know) no daftness off it. Probably the right result given the rolling hills of Warrington’s pitch. Bit of a worry about Chippendale and Whitham, but Lees looked the part today after coming on at least. Still not wholly convinced by Abadaki (I think Adam Haw can feel a bit aggrieved not to start today) and have yet to see more than 10 minutes of Alfie Moulden to make any judgement. The good news is Jameel and Courtney had good games and kept their forwards relatively quiet (although we were hanging on a bit toward the end). Pleased for Jameel to get international recognition but worried we’re now going to lose him at the end of March for at least one game (probably more) which is winding up to be a pretty crucial time…

Is Jake Cassidy still out injured and do we know when he might be back?

Rubbish game but how nice does that new kit look?
Very happy with how that’s turned out. Looking forward to getting mine soon!

Not an easy watch but I think that belies an impressive performance. We are hard to beat and I’m happy if we win ugly. I thought Warrington’s dark arts failed in that there was clearly a plan to get Murphy unfairly sent off. Three clean sheets- impressive! We have started late this campaign. Just imagine If we had earned the points we should have at liversedge or FC United. We would be shoe in play off contenders. Great to be looking upwards - it’s been a long time.

For anyone wondering about Cass, messaged him earlier and he said not long at all “ready to get the promotion charge going” and whitham said he will most likely not be back for Tuesday.
