Agree re atmosphere but it would help if people even managed a clap from time to time or the odd shout of encouragement. I do. Maybe there is a balance to be struck, but they must be Guiseley supporters and not trouble causers.

There's a responsibility on the team to give supporters something to cheer about as well as fans trying to lift the team.

The past week is the Quietest I’ve seen Nethermoor for years. Atmosphere is awful. I came on here the other week saying something needs to change because it’s genuinely desolate. I was slated by some and many objected and I can see why but things can be altered, as I mentioned, to make sure the place can become lively. We are a team challenging for the play offs and you could hear a pin drop for the full 90 mins. The players and staff have clearly told me and many others the importance of having an atmosphere and getting behind the lads but with the current rules set in place we are miles away from that. It’s a crucial point in the season, with 4-5 games to go at home a somewhat decent atmosphere, I’m certain will go a long way. As for the past 2 performances, shocking. But with players out and new ones coming in, it takes time to gel. Onto Saturday in what again is a must win game. Well if you want the hooligans back causing mayhem and not paying any attention to the game then fine by me. But I would suggest you'll be stood on your own as I and many others, I would suggest, would vote with their feet. I gave up watching Leeds back in May 1985 after a full scale riot at St Andrews, where United were playing, news of which got buried due to the tragic events at Valley Parade on the same afternoon.

Firstly the game, I thought we were poor and from the first minute that Radcliffe were just too good for us. Yep, cheap penalty and an easy header from a free kick but we never looked like creating these chances. Bitterly disappointing. Im now in the camp that wonders whether we’d be were we arm if we’d just stuck with the original incumbents. As it is we’re now on players 108, 109 & 110 for the season and I really struggle to see how they made us better. Anyways, perhaps a week and Gainsborough will be a better test but pretty sure we will see more players arrive and leave before then. I’m with Lioncub, play out the season and then refresh Secondly, the atmosphere! I can’t really remember Nethermoor ever having an atmosphere. Yep, in the heady NLN, NL, NLN days against the BIG teams with segregation there was a bit of noise but we’ve never been the most vociferous at home. This is at odds with our travelling support who whenever I’ve been luckily enough to partake make a good-natured racket. Anyways, I would concur with those much cleverer than me that noise created by mini-Hooligans is not needed or wanted. And if we must remember the Hyde game then GAFC were affected for more (conceding the equaliser) by our mini-Hooligans doing their “running away poo” than Hyde so I don’t think that is evidence for a return

"Atmosphere" often seems to me to be a euphemism for "unpleasantness" at football, and I go to non-league matches to get away from it.
Things are a bit flat at the moment because the football is poor, but bringing the horrible children back won't help anything. I'd rather silence than some of the stuff they came out with.
As for the team, they're clearly in transition and circumstances have forced the addition a number of new players to the squad. It's going to take time for them to bed in and gel with the other players so it's no surprise things are a bit disjointed right now. My only real concern is that we seem to be back to losing the midfield battle again, with everything looking like it's a real struggle. Given that the midfield is largely unchanged, this is a bit worrying, but it could be a consequence of not knowing what the forwards are going to be doing.
The rest of the season needs to be about integrating the new players ready to go next season. If it happens quickly then playoffs aren't out of the question, but it's probably going to be a stretch too far in reality. We're now at the point where to make the playoffs we'll need to be showing championship-winning form, so if we get there we can be confident, but it's pretty unlikely that we'll get there.

Completely agree. We *were* showing title-winning form, that's what got us to the edge of the playoffs, but the table is looking like whichever teams finish strongly will take it. Hopefully Whitham will be back soon and ideally George too and then we have more to threaten teams with, and more of those outballs for the holding players.
I watch non-league football for a nice setting without the OTT partisan/antisocial nonsense you get at some league clubs. Non-league football's at a bit of a crossroads because bad behaviour has been forced out of a lot of the most famous stadia and it's arriving on our doorsteps. I've heard and seen things in our ground this year that I never encountered at Elland Road. There's a real danger to clubs like ours in accepting that swap (which we aren't!), because you'd watch lots of your most lucrative working-age customers pay more to go and sit in a well managed all-seater somewhere instead just because of a few kids who weren't contributing much to the coffers anyway.

Completely disagree with all the hooliganism stuff. I go to the footie to enjoy it and have been going to guiseley for years now. I’m not asking for the hooligans to be unbanned, but no one can seriously tell me any of them were over 16-17? They are all 15 and under that’s the most embarrassing part. I’d personally stick the u21 rule down to u18 and if no trouble occurs move it further to u16. Atmosphere is not hooliganism. And someone did mention that the players have to play a part in helping the atmosphere, that is true… we haven’t had much to cheer about last Two games.
