A good day yesterday at Nethermoor. Maybe it was the fact it was the last time we would be there for a couple of months but there was a much more positive atmosphere, and I think that translated onto the pitch, as the players looked much more like a unit than in recent weeks. Great to see Hagie Damba given a chance, whilst there was no standout save, he looked assured and confident in goal. Hopefully we can end the season on a high at Lancaster.

I’m glad that we won of course, and I’m glad that while Liversedge are teetering, thanks to Marske’s rubbish pitch meaning their game was postponed (goodness knows when they’ll find time to play that but they’ll have to), we didn’t quite relegate our former manager at Nethermoor. Sorry DJ but we did relegate Liversedge. Although 6 points from safety with 2 games to play, with Marske playing Nantwich, one team will end up with at least 44 points, which is one more than Liversedge can achieve. Rallyman

Poor game which got worse after half time, but I agree on the pluses - Damba will benefit from the experience and a win on the last Nethermoor matchday tastes nicer than the alternatives heading into the summer.

Well, I guess that shows what my maths is worth. Still I think they went down fighting, and were unlucky not to get something out of it.

Are we keeping the same three strips for next season, I wonder. Hope we do, because some fans may have forked out for all three this year. Noticed in the club shop, the home shirt wasn’t reduced in price, which a lot of clubs do at this time of year when it’s on the way out.

A number of former players attended the game with Liversedge to remember Reserve team manager Brett Ferriday who sadly passed away last year. Rachel O'Connor has paid tribute to Brett here: guiseleyafc.co.uk/brett-ferriday-1932-2022/AB
