We will be celebrating Dad's life on Monday 17th July both at Nethermoor and Rawdon Crematorium. The cortege will pass Nethermoor at 11:30am with a short stop outside the ground, we would love as many people as possible to clap him past. We have then left plenty of time to get up to Rawdon Crematorium for the service at 12:15pm before heading back to Nethermoor to continue the celebration at 1pm. Full details and a tribute to Dad can be found here: guiseleyafc.co.uk/a-tribute-to-john-bridson/AB Here's a reminder of tomorrow's arrangements and I would like to say that all are welcome to all parts of the day that they wish or are able to attend. John would always like people to feel happy so please wear what you find the most comfortable with shorts and football shirts welcomed. Family flowers only, donations on the day to Guiseley Community Foundation in John’s memory will be gratefully accepted. If you cannot attend the service on the day but would like to watch it please email me on adam.bridson@guiseleyafc.co.uk for live stream details. AB

It was lovely to see so many there today. What the Bridsons have been through is so sad and the turnout will have confirmed the sentiments that everyone has been putting in writing, that John and their whole family are much loved by all who pass through Nethermoor.

I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who attended the cortege passing, service and reception on Monday to celebrate my Dad's life.
As a family we were completely blown away by the turnout and everyone's kind messages of support both on the day and since his passing.
We all thought the day couldn't have gone any better and are thankful to everyone for their help on the day and in the run up to it.
I'd also like to thank everyone at the club for their tremendous support during this difficult time for us. They have been so generous and couldn't have done any more for us as a family.
A full tribute will be paid to Dad at an upcoming game. AB

Moving, emotional tribute was well-observed by fans before the Basford home fixture. They stood and gave hearty applause during the designated minute. DH

Yesterday was an emotional but extremely proud day, a touching tribute to a legend of a man with nice words from Dave over the tannoy before. AB
