This was the first game that I watched this season and to be honest I would say that we looked a lot stronger than last yr, and this can only improve as all the new players get used to playing together. Merris looks a completely different player and Crossley looks like the organiser at the back that we've been lacking in recent years, just hope he's not out for too long. Muller looked good and looked like he wanted the ball (unlike some of the lazy strikers we've had in recent years!). Brown was the best player on the pitch when he came on, I don't know why he didn't start!? Now for the controversial stuff! I don't rate Hanson, and don't understand how he managed to start ahead of Brown. I know he did well last year and scored a lot but even last year he never seemed to have much spark. And also the one thing I think has got worse since last year is the wingers, they never try to go past people and didn't support the strikers as much as I would expect, they need to do cos Crooks can't get up there quick enough!

Excellent post Otleybard could not agree more, but can I just make a point, that not everyone is lucky enough to finish work on a Friday for the weekend, or to have Bank Holidays off as a right. No names but there were some out there who had, had to work. It makes me wonder that come Tuesdays trip to Kendal, how many will have had to put a shift in before travelling. I'll judge the players, but not after 4 matches. But would or should we complain about 10 points from 12 ? If it was 0 from 12 then yes questions would need to be asked.

i think some credit should go to matlock on saturday they came to frustrate us and they did it well, I was impressed by Matlock and i think they will be in the mix for the play offs come May.

Saturday was my first game this season also due to been on holiday. Brown changed the game second half with his never say die attitude, This is my 1st post as only just joined the forum so hello to all.

Monday, on the other hand, was distinctly average.
