Pies sold out before kick off. Ten minutes for chips. Long ball, long ball. Nothing positive to say about the play. 3 wins in 19 games. Agree totally with the pie situation. No comparison with Dolly’s Diner at Lancaster where they lasted the full 90 minutes, and chips didn’t need a ten minute warm up before entering the FRaY. To be honest, if I was a Marine fan yesterday having travelled over, I would not have been too enamoured not have sampled one of our delicious steak pies, which if not the best in the division are certainly in the playoffs . We need quantity as well as quality please.

Pies are excellent at Guiseley but they do regularly run out before the game even kicks off. I always make sure to get one before rather than waiting till halftime though. Makes sense to order more in if this is happening regularly.

Whoever picks the music at Guiseley was on point yesterday. Playing "The Jam - That's Entertainment" at halftime after the most boring 45 mins of football I've watched in many years made me smile. Surely it was played in irony? Dave was on good form - can't be too many grounds switched on enough to be playing Jimmy Buffett yesterday.

It has been a very disappointing start to the season but, fortified by wine, I will try to put a more positive spin on things. We have lost 2 games in 7 while missing CMW and Ekpolo and, for the last 3, Tongue. 3 hugely important players. Ollie Battersby looks better every game, Valsau looks highly promising, Murphy has been excellent, Joe Stacey is a real find Back to the wine... Really disappointing start to the season after such high hopes. After Gainsborough, I wondered if 3 wins would change the way we felt. 3 draws and continued player movement. I’m not sure where we stand right now. The Board have previously been less tolerant of poor form (Bowser, Locky). Defeat tomorrow night then a difficult trip to Bamber Bridge could prove terminal…..

One of our volunteers who gets in for free asked for their money back on Saturday!
