Have a look at what we were writing on the Forum back in November before TD got the push.
We wanted a more cultured, passing-based style of play.
We wanted four at the back.
We wanted to play with two wide men.
We wanted a skilful, intelligent playmaker in midfield.
We wanted a strong, aggressive and highly-vocal centre back (well I did, anyway).
We wanted sufficient cover in vital positions for a hectic run-in.
We wanted Gavin Knight to be given a fair chance to re-establish himself.
We wanted John Swift left out.
We wanted the management to be in touch with the fans' opinions via the Forum, and to take the trouble to let us know what is going on.
We wanted a 'Meet the Manager' evening.
We wanted to start winning League games again.
Dicko is a great 'keeper, but since SK took over he has made a number of unforced errors and has been playing for eighteen months with no experienced cover. The chance arose to acquire a familiar and highly-rated goalkeeper with England 'C' experience, allegedly at a knock-down price, and SK took it.
When Santa Claus brings you everything you ask for, it's hardly fair to p*ss in his sherry. No new Manager with his own ideas is going to hit the ground running (the historically re-evaluated Terry Dolan certainly didn’t) and even a reasonably decent run’ll put us back in the heart of the play-off mix. Surely the least the bloke deserves is that we back his professional opinion and stay behind him and the team.

Cracking post OB, and I totally agree. I initially moaned about the new regime as much as anyone, but I've more than been won over by just the kind of things you listed there.
Now, we only need to win Adam over and we're sailing!

I think he guy has done a GREAT job in a small space of time and don't disagree with any moves he has made.(even the Dicko situation)
However i don't understand where the competition was for dicko that allowed peter to go straight in for Saturdays game when he signed on Thursday.
Then secondly the manager seems to have no respect for the clubs fans. blah blah blah. We all turn up week in week out and just like to air our feelings on the supporters forum. He should be happy the club has fans which care.
Saying such things to the press cannot be good for GAFC, and makes it look like its a US and THEM situation.

To be fair, Wayne has been very positive towards us, although the 'blah, blah, blah' thing that Steve is quoted as saying seemed a little bit odd.

Can I please put a few people in the picture with regards Steve. He will be committed to the cause and will do his best to bring players in.At times his comments can be misinterpreted, misquoted, misunderstood or downright pointless but on reflection I've always found him big enough to admit it. When at Ossett my criticism of Steve was I think he listened to too many people and in the end allowed things to bother him that were not really his remit. Fact is he did a good job at Ossett but on the way he inevitably upset a few people. He definitely needs reassurance and needs to feel valued nothing new there. I know for a fact he will be disappointed about being scrutinised so early in the job but that unfortunately is the territory he's in. I like the analogy made by Wayne regarding Alex Ferguson no matter how far off the mark, but on the same subject Fergie has enjoyed his most successful spells when he's had a good assistant. Now if the former BPA fans favourite of over 400 appearances hasn't impressed you sufficiently to realise that he's the right man for the job nothing will. As for his recent signings Skiba, Cotty, Damian & Pugh all very good players, good lads who get on exceptionally well with Kitty...... there lies his strength and not dealing with the press.

Just speak to the press about the football and games played then and don't mention the blah blah blah ....
I found the comment as disrespectful and insulting to me as a GAFC supporter and i am sure others did to.

Worldywise,
I can only speak for myself, obviously, but it just happens to be the case at this club that we have a very lively, humorous, sometimes cantankerous, very well supported Forum, and lots of us like to 'keep the buzz' and further enhance our support by being on here.
I think you'd find that we'd be more than happy for just Wayne to get on here and talk to us now and then if, as seems to be the case, that Steve 'doesn't do' Forums. Wayne himself said that he was pleasantly surprised when he visited us last week, so as long as we can keep young Adam's comments in check (You'll meet Adam for sure if you stick around!) then everything will be fine and hunky dory...Bring on Eastwood and let's get 'em tonked!

One thing to remember folks is that since Mr K & Mr B arrived, we have played 9 games, 7 in the league. This is due to the number of postponements due to the bad weather, no one's fault.
In the last 4 games we've won 3 in the league & lost by a goal to a very good Conference North team pushing for promotion to the Conference.
All in all, not a lot of games, but things are going in the right direction at the mo, so finger crossed.
Personally, I think a few more games are required to make a worthwhile assessment. Enough said by me.

I think its been mentioned before but Guiseley seem to have become the 2nd team this season to be managed by the fans so congratulations to you all
