Is it just me or are others thinking this is taking longer than expected ? I'm all for the board being thorough and all that and getting the right person for the job, just thought we'd have heard by now.
On the supporters coach to Morpeth rumours were 2-4 short-listed from 30 odd applications & hoping to have an announcement by last Friday.
Probably me being too impatient.

Personally I’m astonished it has taken so long. Hopefully it’s a sign of the high quality of the applicants making it a tough decision. Very important for the Board to get this right given what has gone before.

Is today the day the new manager is announced? And who will it be? Onwards and upwards.

Perhaps the ‘wait’ is a sign that the board are taking their time to carefully vet everyone on the shortlist, thinking about which candidate is the best fit for the club, has a wide amount of experience (including at this level) and a decent amount of previous success (but not a long list of previous sackings!) We can hope anyway!

Really surprised no appointment yet particularly with the FAT game tomorrow and league match Tuesday night. Makes you think that the person lined up to replace PP has given back word

Or, are they waiting to see how the present caretaker manager does, over the next few games, with a view to him becoming ‘player-manager?’

Or, are they waiting to see how the present caretaker manager does, over the next few games, with a view to him becoming ‘player-manager?’ True but he’s very young and has a long-playing career ahead. I’m a big fan by the way. I believe he manages English Universities already which suggests he has the ability to manage and communicate across all levels. Personally, I think Liam will go on to manage but now is too soon

If he's good enough, he's young enough! To paraphrase the old saying.

It’s three weeks since Phillips departure and no new appointment. Something has definitely not gone according to plan in my view.

Saw Steve Kittrick with all the Guiseley chairman and club staff at the Gainsborough game today. Coincidence?

Saw all the directors and chairman plus Russ Oneil having a discussion in the stand at Gainsborough didn’t see Kitty with them. Nice fella Kitty but he’s had his time at Guiseley.

A club has made an approach for Jamie Milligan, the Bamber Bridge manager. He has decided to stay at Bamber Bridge. I wonder if that club was Guiseley.

Five weeks today since we parted company with Paul Phillips and still no sign of a replacement and silence from the Board. While I appreciate the sensitivities involved I would have thought supporters would be entitled to some kind of update after five weeks of patience.

Agreed and not particularly fair on Liam who as well as managing, has to get himself back to full fitness for the next manager. I’m really surprised that there is no announcement as yet and do wonder how long it can go on for.
