Assuming Marske’s results are expunged we are now third in the League on 39 points with 18 matches remaining - table is now:
Radcliffe 45 Rylands 44 Guiseley 39 Worksop 38 Macclesfield 38 Whitby 38 Marine 36 Hyde 36 Ashton 36 Lancaster 33 Bamber Bridge 32 Workington 32 Matlock 28 Morpeth 28 FCUM 28 Ilkeston 27 Gainsborough 26 Basford 19 Stafford 17 Atherton 15 Bradford Park Avenue 14
And we have no game on Easter Monday 1 April

Have to get a couple more Easter Eggs then! Wonder if Adam Boyes fancies a return?

Think he prefers scoring against us nowadays...
Really sad that they can't continue, they were a really friendly place to visit, but after Boxing Day it's hard not to be intrigued by the prospect of making up three points on everyone except Rylands.

Feel sorry for their supporters/volunteers etc. If this is the case & the above table is correct, it puts a different slant going forward, although still not sure we will finish in the top 5 due to inconsistence performances. Also, bad news for BPA but also for the bottom four as there would be a not insignificant 7 point gap to Gainsboro on 26 points. Obviously would mean only bottom 3 would be relegated, so at least one of them would survive. Rallyman

My worry for BPA is that they were absolutely limp the other day except for a few minutes towards the end... Stafford have picked up a couple of wins and Atherton beat BPA last month when Avenue had a stronger team out than the one on Monday. We might have to get promoted if we want a local derby next Christmas.

Really sad to hear the news about Marske. No one wants to see a non league club with fighting spirit having to withdraw from the NPL. Wish them all the best for the future.🦁

Sad to hear about Marske, a cracking club who were great hosts to us last year.
At least they have managed to save the club which is a huge thing going forward and hopefully they can work their way back through the leagues once more.
I send my best wishes to everyone connected with Marske for the future. AB

Seems that Avenue are intent on self destruction anyway going by the comments on the BPA fans forum

A real shame to see Marske depart the NPL but pleased to read that the club has been saved Marske were clearly over-performing to reach the NPL and presumably over-reached themselves - Boyes does not come cheaply. In many ways, a similar tale to GAFC post-PC. Whilst folk can at times appear divided re Russ, he has my backing for saving our club with the way he managed to shift PC’s bloated and extremely well paid squad and for the cup run that kept us afloat. Marske are unfortunately not the first and certainly wont be the last club who have lived beyond their means and then had the rug pulled Listening to AW at the Meet the Managers, he likes Dennis Chips so wouldn’t be too surprised if he came in to replace Hall. I think we’d all like Boyes but suspect his wages are prohibitive and he wants to stay local anyway As for the fallout, it’s hard to see how GAFC could have benefitted more. A Boxing Day defeat with bumper crowd and now result likely expunged and we move to the highest position I can remember for years! Here’s hoping we make the most of our good fortune starting tomorrow. Ah the hope, it’s always that hope….

Seems that Avenue are intent on self destruction anyway going by the comments on the BPA fans forum It does show our forum as warm and welcoming to all. Very rarely do we see the back and forth that regularly goes on over there. Now where’s Somerset when you need him….
