Bruce the Blazer's long winded and self indulgent answer did not address the issue of why there are no Unibond results on that vidiprinter service.

The vidiprinter service should be allowed to continue it for the fans why not just let it continue??

Quite simply they haven't requested the permission of the league to do this. The Football Pools for example do use our fixtures from time to time ,have requested permission and do pay the league to do so. Its not dis-similar to the problem with music downloads - people want to download it for free but the music industry will not allow it. The vidiprinter is a commercial activity and whilst it may provide a good information service to supporters, it must apply for permission to do so.

Is it simply a matter of getting permission then or is it money that really matters here?

Bruce in what capacity do you now represent GAFC with the league ? I thought Adrian Towers was now our secretary. I know that you have been continuing in his absence but are you back permanently.

Bruce,
Could I just ask how long the process would take? Would it be a case of just posting them a letter - or even a simple email and then crediting the Unibond League on the site, or would there be more involved?
Thanks.

All,
For clarity, Bruce is now Vice President of the Club, and has been helping me to find my way around the truly astonishing amount of Paperwork and rules that surround a Club and league of our standing.
Also as I took over at quite short notice, had pre-booked hols, and work away quite a lot in my proper job, I have had to miss some early games,
I will be doing the job tryng to follow in Bruce's footsteps for the foreseeable future.
As has been said, it will at least keep me quiet.
I will try to post as often as possible on the Forum,
Best Wishes,
Adie

You can make a case about music downloads in that intellectual copyright has been broken and several people are losing a lot of money. How is this possibly the case with the Unibond League? The League must have been in contact with the vidiprinter people (who I believe are just a bunch of students and NOT a commercial activity in any way), so why still deny them offering a service that the League itself is unable to give? Their site also promotes Unibond League team news which is FREE PUBLICITY for the league. Frankly the whole attitide of the league stinks to high heaven. And would you like to pass a comment about the email I received from one of your (un-named) colleagues? No. Thought not.

And we wonder why football has gone downhill. I guess this topic thread covers it all. No more to be said other than lets get out of this league quick and find out for ourselvers what the next lot DON'T allow. At least there we'll move round a Blue Square and not round in red circles stuck in the Unibond adhesive effect. Roll on May.

Wonder if the Glue League Blazer's will try and tell YouTube that they've got to change their name?...
