Wow, what a performance! A massive win and full credit to the players and staff for earning the three points after being down to 10 men for 70 minutes. The hame got off to a great start when Kendall's chipped ball found Murphy in space. The attacker was hauled down the box and Kendall stepped up to send Hewelt the wrong way from the spot. Hewelt showed great reactions to deal with a short backpass shortly after when Murphy and Afuye were closing him down. The game changed when Whelan went in late. It sparked a brawl which saw Ible dismissed and several others booked. The warning signs were there just seconds later when Maynard poked over from close range. Hulme couldn't miss from two yards out and Hancock fired Radcliffe ahead straight from a corner. Maynard hit the bar in injury time but it was up the other end where the drama took place. Thornley tripped Moore in the area and the referee pointed to the spot for another penalty. Kendall stepped up and stuck it in the same corner to level the scores at the break. A minute into the second half Thornley scored an own goal, he finished well into the bottom corner. 10 minutes later it was 4-2! Kallan Murphy slammed the ball into the roof of the net to double our lead. Radcliffe stepped up the pressure then but it a superb performance from the backline to keep out a strong home side. Battersby made several saves a d there were a few off the line clearances. With 10 minutes left Kendall hit the bar with a shot from 30 yards out. Then Radcliffe countered and Navarro halved our lead with a powerful finish that kissed the post on its way in. It was all Radcliffe from here, despite a few nervy moments we held out. Moore had a chance early in injury time to secure the points but he couldn't take it and the pressure continued. At one point the home crowd were so convinced they'd scored that a fan ran on the pitch! What a win, well played lads! Onto Ossett United at home on Tuesday. Come on Guiseley! AB

I switched off when I heard the sending off… more fool me for being so pessimistic! Amazing effort from all the lads.

What a performance. It had everything, courage, self belief, discipline.
Genuinely surprised to see the red for Jameel and not convinced it was the right decision. Given two of our players had shirts ripped by theirs in a brawl they instigated made it seem even more that the only red was one of our players. I was grumbling (fairly vocally I apologise to those around me :-) ), and should wait to see footage but we were unlucky with decisions (especially their second which shouldn’t have been a corner in the first place).
In spite of all this every player can be immensely proud of that performance. It is a genuinely tough place to go against a quality team that also sought to intimidate and influence decisions.
Really feels like the team is coming together and playing a high energy level of football. We deserved more last week but this week sets a new bar.
I hope we build on this and get some consistent results in the next month. There was a risk that a defeat today would have left a little distance between us and the play offs.
Very happy tonight!

The game today was the sort that reignites your passion for both football at our level, the best there is in my opinion and your team. Every Guiseley player including the subs were absolute warriors in the face of extremely good organised league leading opposition and more than deserved the hard fought victory.
On another note great non threatening banter with the Radcliffe fans, one song in particular getting a little passe` fellas but we won't hold that against them.

Great performance, the last twenty minutes the whole backline were fantastic. Ollie, Ollie, Aiden, Josh, Reece, take a bow. And who wound Prince up today did a great job.
Was stood amongst the Radcliffe supporters today and other than blaming the referee the said our work rate was outstanding.

Can't ask for more than that, an absolutely brilliant performance where every player played their part. Defending in the last twenty minutes was outstanding and fully deserving of the three points but we now go into another tough one at Ashton next week full of confidence.

What a performance. One of the best I have watched Guiseley play for a long time. A huge achievement against the odds.
Was also stood next to a group of vocal home fans in the second half. Plenty of good natured banter between our two sets of fans (most of it anyway lol)

Still smiling An unbelievable performance packed full of character. After making a great start and taking the early lead, I will admit to thinking that the game was over when we then went behind with a man down- didn’t see the full incident but how you can literally rip someone’s shirt to shreds and remain on the pitch seems bizarre to me. I think it was imperative that we went into the break with something, and after Reece converted again there was some hope. There was some real belief when we then scored straight after the restart, and Kallan’s goal was really well worked with some great build up play. Of course, the players were excellent but credit must also go to Andy and his team, as the tactical decision making was spot on yesterday. Introducing Ashman and rejigging the shape, bringing Johnson on into midfield and Denton playing at centre back for the last five minutes all worked perfectly. I don’t mean to put a downer on things, but as good as yesterday was it really is crucial we back it up with results against Ashton and Whitby in the next couple of matches, but play like we did in the last two matches and that should be doable. Come on the Lions! 🦁

That is a new response from their manager, fair play to him.

What a performance from the lads yesterday in a game that had everything. Well done to all involved in a game that will live in the memories of fans that saw that game. One of the best Guiseley games I’ve seen. Once again well done to all. Onwards and upwards.
