10 matches left 6 at home and 5 of the last 7 will be at home. For me, 20 points from the last 10 matches will be enough to secure a playoff spot so six home wins and a couple of away draws will do it. - suspect it’s not that simple!! If we can get five points from the next three games I think that would be a decent return - then we just need to win the remaining home games. I think the word that will define the ultimate outcome is consistency. If you include the Marske game ( which mattered when it was played) we haven’t won back to back league matches since early November - an amazing statistic when you consider we are just outside the playoffs. Now is the time to find that consistency hopefully starting tomorrow.

Tough one tomorrow as Radcliffe will be out for revenge after we won by the odd goal in seven at their place a few weeks ago. If we can do it with ten then surely we can with eleven?

I’ll remember that one for a while. Very disciplined throughout and just when it was starting to drift towards a disappointing finish, we turned up the intensity and played like the better team for the last ten minutes, and managed to get the ball over the line.
Unusual shape and we showed them great respect in the first half but it was absorbing even when there wasn’t much action. Fair play to Andy and Andy for pulling this one off.

Wow, what a win that was today and the spell of pressure we sustained for a long period at the end was something I haven't seen us do in years. If ever there was a goal coming it was the winner from Gabriel Johnson today. Whilst the match didn't have a lot of goalmouth action it was enthralling from minute one, two good teams going at each other fighting for a crucial three points in their fight for promotion both through the play offs and automatically. Ollie Brown, who I thought was excellent today, made a crucial clearance from underneath his own cross bar in the first half but it was one of few chances in a tight half. Liam Tongue went close and Johnson nearly had the opener towards the end of the opening 45 but otherwise the keepers remained relatively quiet. Radcliffe were proving a threat from set pieces though but we showed plenty of excellent last ditch defending to stop them getting on the scoresheet first. Early in the second half the visitors were screaming for a penalty when Oyibo went down but the ref was having none of it and showed the electric winger a yellow. Radcliffe had a couple of early knocks in the half but after a long stoppage the game got back underway, this had disrupted the flow but not the tenseness of the match. Luke Mariette had a good chance but miskicked his volley which saw the shot drift well wide of goal. The last ten minutes or so were all us, we had numerous corners and close calls with Michael Afuye, Tom Denton, Prince Ekpolo, Liam Tongue and Gabriel Johnson all getting in good positions but unable to find that finishing touch. That was until the last few minutes when a long ball forward found the head of Afuye who flicked on to Johnson to slot past Mateusz Hewelt in the visiting goal to send Nethermoor into raptures. A nice way to win a game against tough opposition. Well played Guiseley! Onto Marine away on Saturday. Come on Guiseley! AB

What a great feeling to beat the league leaders home and away! The last fifteen minutes we played brilliantly with a persistent level of pressure which resulted in a fantastic goal. It was a pleasure to watch two evenly matched sides play end to end football. Guiseley now sit in the play off places and we need to keep believing. Come on you Lions ! 🦁

Guts, graft and a dash of guile, a winning combination

Great win and a superb goal to settle it was a fitting end to an absorbing contest between two well matched teams. Radcliffe won't worry too much about the defeat as it still leaves them twelve points clear but the teams above us will now be looking over their shoulders.

Great win for Guiseley must congratulate the management team for the way we set up against a very good team. Kept attacking till the very end. The match itself I thought was a very entertaining game both sides played some very good football. Well done to all involved Onwards and Upwards.

Very entertaining stuff - all credit to both sides especially Guiseley in the last 15 minutes where they showed an intensity which would have brought 2 or 3 goals against lesser opposition. Let’s keep that up lads !!

Very positive substitutions helped win the game in terms making clear our intentions to go for 3 points.
Just need same intensity plus some consistency over the remaining games to give us a shout of making the play offs.
