We return to Nethermoor tomorrow for a clash with the Bantams in a 3pm kick-off.

Tickets:

Tickets can be purchased on entry to Nethermoor at the turnstiles, cash is accepted at all turnstiles with card payments taken at turnstiles 1 & 2.
If you are collecting your season ticket this will be available at turnstile 3.
Tickets are priced at £10 adults, £5 concessions/U18s and £1 U11s with half price entry for all 24/25 GAFC Season Ticket Holders.

Parking:
The Ings Crescent car park will be reserved for players, staff and officials of both clubs. Free parking is available at the Netherfield Road car park which is just a short walk away from Nethermoor using the footbridge.

Food:
The clubhouse will not be serving food tomorrow due to a cricket match taking place at the same time. Pies, snacks, hot and cold drinks are available from the Sponsors Cabin. Chips, pie, peas, gravy, snacks, hot and cold drinks are all available from the Lions' Diner.

Supporters’ Club Desk:

The SC Desk will be open in the clubhouse tomorrow with memberships on sale

Another good workout, lots of promising moments and a good atmosphere despite the weather. Bradford weren’t especially intense so I won’t get too excited though.

I brought a little one with me for his first taste of what he has just told me was “real football” (as opposed to watching England on the TV which is apparently just “pretend football”) and it helped me tune into how many families with youngsters were in the ground. This is non league football as it should be - all ages, unsegregated, something for everyone.

A really enjoyable watch this afternoon, at time that second half felt like a proper league game which is impressive this early on in pre-season.
The first half did get off to a slow start but once the game got going it was an enjoyable spectacle.
A quick fire double from Jake Wright and Trialist A set us on the way to a victory over the League 2 Bantams.
City did get going in the second half and pulled one back through Alex Pattison's precise finish into the bottom corner from Andy Cook's lay off.
Joe Cracknell had to be at his absolute best to keep out two attempts from the visitors on his Lions debut.
A good afternoon at Nethermoor with over 1500 in and without incident, the City players were great with their fans throughout the day posing for photos etc.

Onto Avro away on Wednesday night before a trip to Liversedge on Friday.

Seriously though (well.. I do think we'll get promoted), we played good football and looked solid at the back. The Mbeka/Ible partnership at centre-back looked very effective. Trialist A looks like a player, hoping he signs on.

I've been bringing my little boy since he was 4. It's hardwork and pretty unworkable without a season ticket to guarantee a seat but very rewarding and the fans are very welcoming to little ones. Hope he enjoyed the experience.

Thanks for the tip. He’s only three and a bit so is a bit young to understand much but was absorbed and asked lots of questions - but to your point, we were sat down the front so not the best view of the game itself. We’d need to figure out a regular perch even if he would only be coming occasionally. I hope I can get him into it.

And yeah truthfully I’m ridiculously excited. The squad is the best for its division that I can remember in a decade. Is that trialist the new Danny Boshell? He looked good.

And yes number 4 trialist I hope had put pen to paper before he went home,too good to let slip through our fingers.

That’s a good tip, thank you. I’ve never usually sat except when I’m doing stuff on the nerd bench so this is new for me.

I think you'll be fine when it gets into the season. Getting good seats when we were in the National League was an issue but we get a third of the attendance these days and there's plenty about for league fixtures usually. Games against local League sides are probably not ideal games for a little one due to the increased attendance. I never go to the annual Leeds pre-season game on my own for this reason.. too much like hard work.
