Frustrating result considering all the possession and possible opportunities in the final 3rd . Some questionable decisions also, playing short corners in the last 20 mins with centre backs in the box, a free-kick in the last 5 mins, rather than playing a right fight in-swinger, opting for a left footer.
I think there are question marks now over the manager. Might be a nice guy but unsure he knows how to make a team with a ruthless streak. Looks like a team of individuals. Have to wonder what they do in training?! They aren't working on passages of play or breaking down a team.
Considering we probably have the 2nd biggest budget in the league, looks like we be wallowing in mid-table for the season.

Disappointing result as I thought this game was winnable after the first half performance. As expected in the second half Blyth had worked out where our major threat came from and diligently closed it down. I thought overall the team are beginning to gel together and we have a good squad and I honestly think we will do OK,maybe occasionally being a touch tougher. Mark and Danny like footballers who play attractive, entertaining skilful football not cloggers and we know full well this has worked in the past.
Hells Bells it's far too early to be calling for anyone's head.

Not great tonight with all the possession we had, too much sideways passing across the back and too many poor passes in final third for me.
Yes Blyth were poor and set up for a point, but we have to beat teams like that if play-offs are a realistic target. Not sure if B&B have worked out their best 11 or formation yet, but we're only 4 games in so plenty of time to get it right.

Played some good football tonight and should’ve won it. With the Wednesday game last week we won’t have had a proper training session since before the season started, and no midweek game next week, so now we have a chance to start putting some more things together.
I much prefer Mbeka at centre back and he can pick a good ball. Lufudu is a good weapon but we mustn’t become one dimensional and rely on him. I like the young loan striker a lot, hope to see more of him.
Moke and Johnson started well but are not match fit yet clearly.
Kendall’s parents saying goodbye to the club on social media because he was a sub tonight explains a bit to me about why he has the attitude he does. Shame because he’s a talented footballer but we need a team that will stick together through sterner challenges than a few hours sat on the bench.
Early days, you can see a lot of the pieces are there and I hope we get to see it come together over the course of the season.

Not the result we wanted but I thought that we played some really good football in patches. Moke impressed me in midfield and Lufudu was rightly given MoM. Blyth deserve more credit too. Tough pre season and some poor results, but they played a defensively disciplined counter attacking game. Their No 9 Savage was a dynamo and a constant threat and as we pressed for the winner they looked more than capable of catching us on the break.
I get the impression Farrell will prove to be a good loan signing.
It goes without saying it’s too early to guage how the team is gelling, and unwise to make any premature judgements, but I see positives and areas for further work which is as I might expect.
Also interesting to see the impact of five subs after four matches. I think it changes the dynamic of the bench as every player could be brought on. It will add to the professionalism needed as no player will just be ‘warming the bench’ and so needs to be ready to make an impact. I also wonder how much it will change the timing of subs. Had we had the option to use all five subs at Atherton a couple of years ago might Hagie Damba been called on to replace Morgan Bacon rather than just asked to performatively warm up?

Was just like watching England at the Euros, tons of possession but no idea how to convert that into goals. Several times Jordan Thewlis and the new striker got in good positions only for us to play it out wide instead of playing it through for them and Thewlis also finished up trawling the midfield to get the ball. Need far more urgency in getting the ball forward when opponents pack their defence and be prepared to take players on as we have enough talented midfield players to make it happen. As for players parents taking their ball home, the club is far bigger than one individual.

I thought it was a decent performance. Not great, obviously; a side looking for promotion has to win games like that, but Guiseley were in almost complete control and really just needed a slightly better final ball or a bit of luck.
There's a lot of promise in that team and it gives the feel of a side that's just missing one final piece to make it great. Possibly that's the injured striker, or maybe it's just a bit of time to find their way of playing, but it's not far away.
As ever, I'd like to see success, but I'm very happy with a team of good footballers and a manager who wants them to play football. I enjoy watching this team, whatever the result.

We currently in the middle of playing 6 games in 16 days. Players are going to need to be rotated/rested surely. It reflects poorly on the player and the club when someone doesn’t have the mental fortitude to accept being on the bench for a game or two.

When the lineups were published on social media, his dad on Facebook and his mum on Twitter posted to say goodbye to the club. But - and this part is second hand info - those in ear shot of Reece during the pre match warm-ups apparently had that and more direct from the source. It’s a shame because he’s a talented player, but I trust Mark’s man management and he’s always valued good characters.
My personal opinion is that amongst the sea of disappointing performances at Stockton last week, one or two displays rang alarm bells for me and his was one of them. The other one I’ll reserve judgement on until the players get used to the fact that the goalkeeper is left footed!

Honestly, I think it’s a measure of how the last few years have been that some last night were already saying last night was a must win game. There aren’t any must win games in the second week of the season. The manager is on a two-year contract and has a brand-new squad, let’s relax and enjoy the good bits and see what develops.

Well said. Last night was my first match of the season - there was plenty to enjoy, especially the intensity in the first half. Four points from four games is a poor return, but there are positive signs that better results could be round the corner.

On a more positive note, that is back to back clean sheets at home for the first time since last February.

Didn’t play badly but not for the first time lacked a cutting edge to profit on our greater possession.
Opposing teams seem to attack more quickly whilst we end up camped on their 18 yard box passing backwards and sideways.
Lots of positives from individual performances, and other than start with the Barnsley loanee who looked bright when he came on, not a lot I would change lineup wise whilst Lawlor is injured.
Early days and certainly no need for any rash decisions.
The Management Team are clearly still assessing who will be in the nucleus of the squad for the rest of the season. One or two departures pending I suspect.
We are least pleasing to watch.
