I enjoyed the match ( always enjoy the atmosphere of a Tuesday night under the floodlights ) even though we didn’t win. It was lively and entertaining. Thought the referee was excellent, he let game flow. I would have liked to see us move forward a bit more with less passing back. We have some good players who need time to gel as a team. Very happy with Mark and Danny at the helm.

I agree with most comments which echo Mark’s interview. We were good first half and a goal from one of the many opportunities and I think it’s a comfortable win. But our final ball was too often poor whether that be a cross or pass. Second half was more even. Thankfully we didn’t concede but if honest it felt like many games over the last years, that the longer it went on the last likely we were to score. More than happy with the 2 Danny’s and there are plenty more games left Funny how we all see the game, I thought the Ref was terrible last night. And that wasn’t just the bald head and ponytail. He gave us very little all night and the in/out area was contentious. As for Reece, I can understand his and his parents frustration, Ollie is no LB but he didn’t improve matter when he came on and his FK into Good Skin Days was entirely predictable. His dad can say what he wants but if he was that good he wouldn’t be playing for GAFC but then his dad is not sure of opinions allegedly (#bamberbridge)

A frustrating night last night, we had plenty of the possession but struggled to find that final ball or moment to break down a resolute Blyth side. In the first half, whilst both keepers had very little to do, we played a number of dangerous balls into the box that just need a touch to score a certain goal but it just didn't drop for us. Blyth did force Cracknell into a good save and they looked dangerous on the counter all night, they could prove to be a very good side away from home with their pacy front line. Lufudu and Odunston were causing problems down the right hand side and got in behind on a number of occasions. Brown shot over from distance as we continued to try and find the breakthrough. The second half saw our dominance continue but chances were much harder to find. Lufudu was still causing problems and Bond had to be at his best to stop the winger from scoring. A number of subs followed from both sides which disrupted the flow of the game. The final 10 minutes saw us completely on top and Thewlis nearly crafted himself an opening when Bond parried a ball forward but it was out of reach for the number nine. A late penalty claim was waved away and the game came to an end. Unlucky lads! We move on to FC United of Manchester at home on Saturday. Come on Guiseley! AB

I guess it’s tricky with his parents telling him he’s the best left back outside of the football league and his manager telling him he’s dropped. Another club will be delighted to have him because he is definitely talented, just the way he has handled the last week makes me think he’s not the right character for this squad. Doesn’t mean I won’t complain when we sign a lightweight academy youngster replacement on loan from somewhere!!
