Wow, another great game and a well deserved win albeit in dramatic circumstances! The first half was strange as we started well on top and then out of nowhere the hosts were two up before we halved their lead instantly. Odunston and Ackroyd both went close either side of former Lion Lewis Hey shooting just wide. Bould opened the scoring from close range before Grand doubled the home side's lead with a header. A minute later Farrell had the ball in the net with a clinical strike at the end of a quick counter attack. Lufudu forced Michalski into a save low down to his left but the resulting corner came to nothing. The second half started the Bamber Bridge on top but we soon span it round and early found a way to go in front when Michalski misplaced his clearance but then reacted quickly to deny Lufudu with a stunning save. 10 minutes into the half and we were level, Ible struck from close range to finish off Brown's cross. Johnson then saw his shot well saved by Michalski. Farrell had a stroke saved whilst up the other end Baxter was denied by Cracknell. It looked as if we had found a winner when Kendall's powerful cross was well poked in by Thewlis but the assistant referee had his flag up for offside. Then in injury time Longbottom struck from a free kick into the bottom corner to seal the points and to complete a bank holiday double. It was the final chance in a topsy turvy game! Well played Guiseley! We move focus to the Emirates FA Cup and Ashton United's visit to Nethermoor on Saturday. Come on Guiseley! AB

Brilliant performance today. Thought we thoroughly deserved the three points.
We were perhaps a bit shaky at the back at times but showed a real battling spirit to get back in it. The winning goal was deserved and on another day we could have had 4 or 5.
Hard to single any particular player out for special praise today - it really was a team effort. There were top performances all round

Thoroughly deserved to win despite leaving it very late.
How we ended up 2 nil down after a rampant start when Bamber Bridge barely got out of their own half will remain a mystery.
Good performances all round but Farrell again excelled up front.
It was a very happy bus on the way home.

First and foremost great credit to the team for keeping going this afternoon and eventually grabbing the three points which in my view were deserved on the balance of play over 90 minutes. Guiseley dominated the opening exchanges, moving the ball very nicely and looking threatening before two separate pieces of very poor defending handed the hosts a two goal lead. Farrell’s excellent finish quickly halved the deficit and Guiseley then continued to press for the remainder of the half and into the second half without ever looking particularly secure at the back. All the substitutes contributed well as Mark Bower made changes (some players understandably looked tired after two games in 3 days) and it looked like the domination was only going to yield a point following Ibles equaliser until a 25 yard free kick in added time was despatched by Longbottom to win the game. For me, same three challenges evident today as on Saturday, namely giving away cheap goals, quality of the final ball and being clinical with the number of chances created. Ten points from six matches is a reasonable return - if we had beaten Blyth it would be 12 which we would rank as a good start (having got a goalless draw with us they shipped nine goals in the next two matches). On to a tricky game in the FA Cup against unbeaten Ashton United.

I really enjoyed yesterday’s game, a real end to end thriller. To go two down and yet recover to win is one thing but again we could have scored even more. It’s hard to benchmark where we are yet in terms of the other teams in this division. For what it’s worth I think FC Utd and bamber Bridge have good quality and will prove good results. Ashton next are joint top and so could be some sort of measure of how we compare at home to an early front runner.
However, mostly I’m excited about the prospect of our next game each time. It’s an exciting brand of football with some great talent. We will concede goals and lose games of course, but we look a threat in every game and I’d back us to win more than we fail to. Nethermoor is an exciting place to be.

Once again, Colin, uplifting. I think you would be a great evangelist preacher.
