It just didn't look like it was going to be our night tonight but we rescued a last gasp point from a game I would have taken a draw from pre-match. Lancaster took an early lead with Nic Evangelinos curled past Cracknell into the bottom corner with just four minutes on the clock. Lufudu came close but his shot went over McLenaghan's bar. Lawson and Sam Bailey should have added to their tally, Lawson's shot drifted just wide and Bailey saw his effort cannon off the crossbar. Ekpolo forced McLenaghan into a good save as the midfielder took full advantage of Lawlor's excellent defensive work. Ekpolo nearly scored from an instinctive header after a poor clearance from Thompson at the back but McLenaghan was quick for react to stop the effort going in. The second half took a long while to get going, Bennett did test Cracknell but in truth it was an easy save for the keeper. Emmett shot just over as we crafted a good move and we started to edge more into the game. Afuape came oh so close to his first goal, his shot was going in but a home defender made a timely block for deny the on loan Barnsley man. Then when it looked like the game had got away from us Mbeka's long throw was punched into his own goal by McLenaghan to seal a hard earned point. Well played Guiseley! We move on to another away day and trip to Ilkeston Town. Come on Guiseley! AB

An important point ,hard earned tonight, to keep us in the playoff places. Good to hear Mark say they are looking to bring one or two players in as the lads who played tonight and Saturday need some backup. Really proud of the team and management right now. đŚ

Brilliant point tonight.
I struggle to remember a long throw into the box that led to a Guiseley goal!
I certainly donât believe there has ever been a 100% long throw:goal conversion rate in one of our games beforeâŚ
Lancaster will be disappointed not to get the win but after a ropey first half we changed things round and certainly gave it a good go.
Thatâs another point earned in stoppage time. Says a lot about the commitment, fitness, and belief in the camp..

It was always going to be difficult after the euphoria of Kidderminster and the colossal effort the team put in.
So to get a point, however fortuitous, is a credit to the team, particularly as there are currently few options to freshen things up.
Well done to those supporters who travelled to Lancaster on a Tuesday night.
There continues to be a lot of positivity around the club lead by a Manager who admits the odd mistake, tells it how it is, appreciates the supporters, and conducts himself brilliantly on radio and TV, enhancing the profile of the club.
Itâs just all very refreshing.

Mark gave a great interview last night - kept the heat off the players but gave them credit for their successes, made sure the FA Cup run wasnât about him and reminded us the league is our top goal. Heâs a really good fit for the club and I have a lot of respect for how heâs handling everything.
The team is unbeatable mentally and the point last night keeps us in a good position to go for 3rd in the table when games are caught up, but undoubtedly they need reinforcements soon because of the sheer volume of matches and injuries.

A decent point in the end. Guiseley started very slowly and conceded a cheap early goal and it could have been more as Lancaster dominated the first quarter of the game. Then we worked our way more into the game and began to dominate possession without creating any clear cut chances. The equaliser when it came was deep into added time and was a sort of poetic justice as the Lancaster keeper misdirected his punch from a ball into the six yard box into his own net having engaged in plenty of time wasting throughout the second half.
I thought we looked jaded last night - not surprising and there were few options on the bench to change the game. As others have said we need reinforcements very soon if we are to keep the momentum going.

I remember (and it may not be the PC era) a South African LB who would do the long throw but it wasnât fast and flat, it very high and slowly dropping on the 6-yard line.

Also was last nightâs attendance correct - 2345 seems a lot for Lancaster vs GAFC on a wet Tuesday night in Lancaster
