We can conclude that the team mentality remains excellent and that having players fit again to come from the bench is handy.
Next two weeks look really exciting!

We left it late to claim all three points today in a tight game that we probably edged on a cold afternoon in Derbyshire. It took 20 minutes for the game to come to life in the first half, Longbottom's corner could not be cleared by the home side but Moke shot wide. Four minutes later and the deadlock was nearly broken, Emmett's shot was saved by Mersin and Longbottom's lobbed shot looked to be heading in but somehow it was cleared off the line by the home defence. Up the other end Dales forced Cracknell into a stunning save, his header was heading into the top corner but Cracknell at full stretch managed to palm the ball wide. Longbottom and Lufudu were next to test Mersin but we just could not find a way through. The second half started with much more energy but it was Keane who had the first shot from 20 yards out, Cracknell did well to palm it wide. Lufudu tested Mersin with a shot from the edge of the box and the keeper also had to stop Johnson's shot after he cut in from the right hand side. It wasn't totally one sided though, Bennett flashed in a delivery which went right across the face of Cracknell's goal. In the final 10 minutes Longbottom once again looked to have scored with Mersin well beaten but his effort struck the base of the post. Whitham was introduced and it seemed to breath some fresh impetus into our attacking threat. The winger shot just wide with a rasping effort. Then half way through the four minutes of added time we won the match. Lufudu charged down the right hand side and got his head up to pick out Thewlis who finished well with his shot kissing the post on its way in. It was the crucial moment and last chance of the game to secure another big win! Well played Guiseley! Onto Prescot Cables at home on Tuesday night. Come on Guiseley! AB

We can conclude that the team mentality remains excellent and that having players fit again to come from the bench is handy. Next two weeks look really exciting! Completely agree. We were all really proud of the club, team and supporters last week at Stevenage. For different reasons I think we should be just as proud again. Not an easy trip to make, Mickleover were strong and had good width, and the exertions of a cup run usually has an effect on any team. We have again earned valuable points in the late stages of the game - great sign of a successful team. Great travelling support. Also brilliant to see Thewlis score after his spell out, while Lewis Whitham’s return was great to see. It’s going to be an exciting next couple of weeks. Bring on Prescott!

Think this could be as important a win as we will see all year. It would have been easy, perhaps even expected to see a “hangover” defeat after last weeks energies and the desperate nature of a penalties loss. But instead they didn’t feel sorry for themselves, continued to play, dug in deep and won gloriously late. Important not to look too far forward but the next 2 home games could prove definitive

We may not have been at our best today but a win is a win however you achieve it. We have an opportunity over the next couple of weeks with games in hand to climb back up the table into the playoff places where we rightly belong. This team put their heart and soul into the game at Stevenage and they must know how proud of them we are. Let’s make every game count. COYL 🦁

What a brilliant way to get over our disappointment of last Saturday ,the return of Jordan and Lewis enough to lift anyone's spirits ,combined with a late winner we all love one of those.

Workman like display from Guiseley against a strong Mickleover side. Best chances of the game fell to Guiseley and thankfully we converted one. Great to see Lewis and Jordan back on the pitch and looking sharp. Very good three points congratulations to the lads for battling to the end and not settling for a point. Onwards and upwards.

Thought there would always be a hangover from last Saturday but the return of Jordan and Lewis was a boost and we ground out the a result by the sounds of it. Doubt we will catch Macclesfield so a place in the play offs will suffice for me and with the players still to return I think we have the squad and the management to achieve that.
