A game where the longer it went on the better we played and more in charge we were, to the point that by the end we made it look comfortable.
Prescot started brightly both halves but particularly in the second half we looked dangerous everytime we went forward.
Longbottom and Emmett were outstanding and a constant threat and Thewlis created the second and looked sharp. Great to see Whitham back.
Important win with Hebburn the visitors on Saturday. Seven points from the next 3 would cement our play off hopes.
Ultimately an assured performance and thoroughly deserved win against a decent side we made look ordinary late on.

Don’t think I can add much to this. It’s another very solid three points against a team we could’ve easily gotten into trouble against. Hebburn will be interesting, wish we had Ridehalgh fit!

A good win tonight to build on Saturday's success at Mickleover. Prescot started the game the brighter side but faded out as we became stronger and untruth could have added more goals to our tally in what was a fairly comfortable win. Goodwin and John Murphy were causing us all sorted of problems for the first few minutes but neither of them could find a way past Cracknell or the target. After a couple of openings for Prescot Emmett nearly edged us in front but his flick went just wide. Digbeu and J.Murphy went close but it was us who had the best chance when Emmett raced through the visitors' backline but Hare dashed off his line to narrow the angle and stop a certain goal. Then in the last first half minute Lufudu picked out Longbottom and the back post who added another goal to his already impressive tally. Again Cables started the half brightly and won two free kicks, the first was well saved by Cracknell and Goodwin's second attempt took a deflection to send it over the bar. With 25 minutes left Longbottom doubled his tally when Emmett coaster down the right hand side before delivering a wonderful ball into the box. A lot of changes followed and it was Brown who went closest to adding to our lead when his shot sailed over. A good few days and hopefully it will continue on Saturday in what will be another tough game. Well played Guiseley! Onto Hebburn Town at home on Saturday. Come on Guiseley! AB

I think 2-0 is pretty much the perfect win. It says it was a hard-fought and deserved victory against a capable opponent, and last night was a perfect example. I was very impressed with Prescott, who looked a good footballing side, very comfortable on the ball and with plenty of possession, but Guiseley had enough to blunt their attack, take control, and score two good goals.
With so many good teams in the league we simply have to keep winning, but this team looks like it can, so long as there aren't too many injuries. It was good to see Thewlis looking sharp again, and great to see Whitham back, but we still look a forward short in Farrell's absence.

A shaky start from the Lions, we struggled to keep possession of the ball. Prescot failed to take advantage and our first goal just before half time calmed the nerves of players and supporters alike. We were much stronger in the second half and Will Longbottom’s second goal sealed the deal. Special mention to Jack Emmett he had a great game, his pace is excellent. Good to see players ,particularly Lewis, returning from injury and contributing to our success. We are now back in the playoff places and a win against Hebburn on Saturday is a must to take advantage of our games in hand and move up the table. Great to see such a good turnout on a Tuesday night.

Winning these types of game shows our intent in contrast to previous seasons when we would probably have lost this one. Good to see Jordan Thewlis back as he always looks a danger but we need to be aware that he takes up some brilliant positions and feed the ball through to him.

Another game - another win. The biggest compliment I can give Bowsers and the team he’s created that this is the first team that reminds me of GAFC pre NL (Kitty/Bowser regimes) when you turned up expecting a win. Sometimes the wins were amazing (remember Vs Telford) and more of the time, they were routine a la Prescot. Since promotion whether in NL or NLN, you never quite had that expectation of a win. At NL level, a win felt amazing and even dropping back to NLN, we never got a run going…. We’re a good team, we have a goalscorer in Longbottom, we have an excellent GK and defence and a very good bench Another routine win on Saturday would be very much appreciated
