Hmm, seem to remember a similar poll, offering various pairs from Fowler, Keane, Viduka, Smith and Bridges.
But months later and only Smith remained!

I've gone for all three. I've only seen Brown play twice but that's enough to convince me he should start. Vary his striking partner, perhaps depending on the opposition but even chuck all 3 on in the right circumstances.

It's a nice problem to have, isn't it.
In spite of some sniping from certain quarters (quarters not at last night's game) I certainly feel that James deserves his place. Were it not for a 'keeper in inspired form and riding his luck, he'd have notched a first-half hat-trick against Selby, and he's beginning to look once again like his pre-injury/illness self. He's the option that ensures we win more than our share upstairs, and his ability as a finisher is beyond doubt.
Adam's vision, skill and nous have brought a new dimension to our attacking play and must be a b'stard to defend against. Nice to see him find the net last night, and his history suggests it'll be the first of many.
David's strengths lie in running at people and not allowing defenders a moment's peace, while he's certainly shown he knows where the goal is.
So, three excellent and complementary talents in our locker. Which, if any, to leave out? I don't feel that there's a need to elect a definitive 'first choice' pairing. There'll be times when injury, suspension or unavailability make the choice, and in any event it's a sixteen-man game now; formations can be tweaked to suit the opposition and the circumstances before and during games.
I hope and trust that SK will be happy to shuffle the pack as events dictate, and that all three lads will understand and accept the situation as we plough through what looks like being a challenging and exciting season.

Have to agree with OB and being spoilt for choice up front makes it a horses for courses approach or even all in together at times. Selby was the ideal opportunity for Hanson to get a full 90 minutes first team action. He had a full match in the reserves but that will not have sharpened him up for better defences. Is it really that important who actually starts for as OB says its a 16 main game now. The substitues could have come on at the start and actually done no better. Its what happend over the full 90 and the result at the end that matter most. In the modern game it seems far less important who starts and as important who can come on to turn the game around or kill the game off as required. Team selection is not an exact science and thank Gof for that or we'd be watching robots.

At home i would play Hanson and brown up front with muller in the hole behind because browns got pace and movement,Hanson is big good in the air and muller is very clever around the box away i would go for 2 upfront which two managements decision. At home i think we should definitely get at teams and let them worry about us..

Jon comments, "OB says it's a 16 man game now"... or presumably 17 if you're a Selby fan (it's all in the space, y'know)?
