NFU's 4-4 draw in the FA Cup at Consett tonight (hotshot Denton (2)) is scheduled to be replayed next Tuesday, presumably meaning we'll fall another game behind the pack.

This game has been postponed. It will be added to the fixtures when a new date is arranged.

What with the thread on Guiseley Baptist's and Adam just saying 'God' it seems like the Almighty is getting a lot of mentions just now!

...and sorry for my ignorance but where does that cross on the Guiseley badge (& sported on Adam's posts) originate from? Is there a historic connection between Guiseley's football club and its Baptist Church?

....no answer to the question about the GAFC cross then?......deadly silence...... I feel like the two American lads in "American Werewolf in England" who stop off in a remote pub whilst on a hiking tour of northern England. One asks the locals about the weird 5 pointed star on the wall. There's a deathly silence and Brian Glover misses the dart board with his shot. "You made me miss" he barks "I've never missed"
"Beware the moors lads. Stick to the road"

Sorry, I've been out.
The cross on the Guiseley badge is the Cross of St Oswald. Guiseley Parish Church is St Oswald's, opposite the Red Lion pub near The Green. The Red Lion served as the club's first changing rooms.
I think.

Thanks OB. So in their origins Guiseley are a Christian team then. Any chance that the team might come onto the field to the crowd chanting "Onward Christian Soldiers"? Adam would be up for it no doubt.
Did you enjoy the whist drive last night OB?

Nah, all the cocoa-snorting last time put me off.
Went to the Otley Over-80s' Zimmer Racing Finals. Quite exciting - they're playing eighteen months' injury time after one of the entrants had to wait for a hip replacement.

How you keep going and don't just give up I'll never know. You're an example to us all.
