Hello and welcome to the third edition of my blog.
Transfer deadline day- how's everybody doing?
Without a doubt this years transfer deadline day was one of the most exciting of recent times.
Berbatov secured his dream move to Manchester United, Robinho could well be Manchester City's first big money signing and Everton captured Malouane Felliani in a last minute cash dash.
But so far Robinho is the only one of the trio to have made any significant impact. The Brazilian netted for Mark Hughes' side against Premiership high flyers Chelsea.
Though watching the day unfold on Sky Sports News was as nerve jangling as Richard Dunning and John Swift's respective Guiseley spells, it remains to be seen if any new signings will be worth their weight in goals.
My favourite footy programmes
The list of football programmes I watch is literally endless. From Match Of The Day to The Cup, I am a compulsive viewer of everything about the beautiful game. Here I will talk about a few highlights of my weekly television dose. Yeadoner, look away now...
On Saturday morning I can usually be found watching Soccer AM. I really like Soccer AM because it's funny and the guests they get on are really good. For example, last week E4's The Fonejacker made his presence felt on the sofa by claiming it was him that bought Manchester City. My favourite features of the show include Big Tackle, 3rd eye and Tubes' Question.
The Cup is a hilarious new drama about a local kids team bidding to reach the finals of a national tournament. Malkie McConnell is the star of the team but despite his Bolton Wanderers obsessed dad he wants to be a chef. At one point he pulled away a Bolton poster to reveal a pin up of his hero Gordon Ramsey! The characters on the programme, particuarly Malkie's dad, all speak directly to the camera and really make the show.
That does it for the third weekly blog. Next week I'll get on to talking about why we're all here and review Guiseley's clash with Eastwood.
