I was just a tad disappointed yesterday to find that we appear to have discontinued the famous Crossbar Challenge, and wondered whether we'll be putting anything else in its place.
I was thinking that we could have our own little X Factor or some other talent show kind of thing both before the match and then again in the half time interval. This needn't necessarily be a song; it could be some other kind of entertainment act like throwing knifes (at a target, not at each other), or archery (ditto), or some sort of Houdini type thing, or even - and this a particular fave idea of mine - an 'on the pitch' pie eating contest (and one or two of our fans look like they've already been practicing in anticipation of this already)...
Oh, and I also saw some pictures taken in Afghanistan and Iran where their own particular half-time version of the 'Crossbar Challenge' is to hang a few thieves from theirs for crimes like eating bread (someone else's, sadly) or fancying a pre-match match pint or having a quick shufty at Page 3, but I don't anticipate our own particular 'challenge' being quite as 'challenging' as that...
Anyway, all suggestions along these lines would be very gratefully received, and we could even put them forward at the 'Meet the Manager' meeting or send an email to Bruce or Phil.
