As there seems to have been so much interest in the subject of memories of former Guiseley players and games from our yesterdays, it seemed like a good idea to run a thread especially for this...This is the place to share all your favourite memories from the past, and the more posts we can get on here the more we can all learn about the history of our club... Huge apologies to all for the fact that I seem to have 'misplaced' the previous posts, but I'll try to get 'em back and post them on there when I sort them out. For those who didn't see the original posts they included mention of just a few Guiseley players from the past and, in no particular order, they included Billy Roberts, Bob Colville, Geoff Horsfield, Stan Jones, Martin Tetley, Dave Morgan, Mick Stocks and Jan Kudelnitzky as well as Peter Atkinson, Ian Noteman, Charlie Twissell and many more... We talked about the fact that some 'regulars' from the main stand side have never, ever ventured over to the 'terracing/clubhouse' side and vice versa for certain others... We had supporters confessing that they didn't know where the Pukka Pie hut was, nor did they know the whereabouts of the giant club megastore, and some even said they hardly knew where anything was at all! This, then, is the thread to end all threads as regards the club's historic past...It's for the supporters, by the supporters and it should be pretty good!

Memories are from people's brains, Adam. Presumably, Shirley Ascough was from Guiseley.

I think he does work with the media.
A lot of quotes are attributed to 'a Senior Policeman'.
