Bright sunshne at Nethermoor for today's visit of Worksop Town, but there is a strong and gusty wind blowing across the ground which could make flowing football very difficult. Team news - Holland replaces Needham, Reeves for Burton and Singh for Cotterill.
Full team - Worsnop, Lloyd, Fitzgerald, Ellis, Merris, Holland, Bentham, Askham, Singh, Tuck, Reeves. Subs - Burton, Malcher, White, Davey, Ratchford.

Half time Guiseley 0 Worksop Town 0 The game has been ruined as a spectacle by the wind, which has made good football very difficult. Worsnop has been the busier of the two keepers as Worksop have enjoyed playing with the wind behind them in the first half. Best Guiseley chance fell to Harpal Singh who was put through but tried to beat the keeper at the near post when a cut back to Reeves looked a better option. Guiseley playing with the wind in the second half. CDP at the game

4 mins GOAL - Guiseley broke from defence and Bentham carried the ball into the Worksop half, fed Askham who passed to Burton who brilliantly created an angle 15 yards out and curled the ball into the top right hand corner to give Guiseley the lead.

No balls, final ones that is, in todays defeat. Worksop showed how even a fairlyaverage side can win games by working for each other. We certainly have the skill but all too often we don't take opponents on and create the openings. We wasted umpteen final balls this afternoon until Burts came on and then Danmien Reeves finally got the ball to his feet and showed what he is capable of before we fell for the two sucker punches .

How many more times are we going to see Guiseley frantically try to defend their lead bt sitting deep and inviting the opposition to come at them with disasterous results as well as giving away a needless free kick late in the game? A disappointing result to say the least.

The wind seemed to die down a fair bit for the second half, but your right AB we didn't capitalise on the advantage in the second half and it took us too long to get going.
Not sure what the worksop manager was on about saying they deserved the win, I thought it was pretty even but Guiseley played the better football...when it was actually on the deck.
