Good grief. Is it really that bad? I can't afford another car insurance claim. Stay at home?

Don't worry about your car. All the locals do is rush out of their houses and point at them.

For goodness' sake. I just went on their forum and the top thread is a notice from their board telling the fans off for assaulting away fans at a game earlier this year.

There's a car park in front of the ground, at the opposite side to the slag heap.

True Nik, but if you'd looked a little closer that thread was re game v Gateshead in Jan 08 ! I always thought the car park was OK, it was getting to the ground through the estate that was the problem. Rallyman

Nik take no notice of them we have been to the MILLENNIUM STADIUM loads of times and apart from the air turning blue I haven't seen any actual violence, well not yet. There is a small bar with its own residential Bookie who I always find entertaining to watch. It has plenty of parking right outside the ground on derelict land. The biggest plus is that when you return to Guiseley you will realise how lucky we all are to live where we do.

I've only ever visited as a neutral, and whilst the ground itself is adequate (we at Retford can't really look down at anyone on that score) the surrounding area is, shall we say "a little dated"? Not exactly a walk down Wembley Way. I have friends who follow Barnet, and they remember their visits to Frickley in the 80's as some of the worst of their travels, for all manner of reasons. I think it is fair to say that the fans are a vociferous bunch. If your fans get off on the right foot with them, it'll be a good trip for you Nik (excellent spelling by the way) However, if it goes off kilter, it can all descend into madness very very quickly. Not always their fault, but they have a reputation.

Not always their fault, but they have a reputation. Marvellous. Hopefully our lot will go in with a smile on their faces and not wind anyone up then. With a bit of luck, the game will be over after 20 minutes and we won't have too much to get angsty about. MEMO TO GUISELEY TEAM: Try and get three past their keeper before half time and maybe we'll be OK.

Never, never an easy game against Frickley.
We have the skills, heart and workrate to beat them but all too often in the past we have lacked a bit of common sense and allowed them to drag us into a physical battle which works in their favour.
