Finally. Thanks cdp for your comments.I think you have got it spot on.Frickley have been playing like that for 3 months and that is why they are edging away from trouble when they looked dead and buried. In fairness i didnt think Buxton were great, yes they are a strong side but if we dont concede a silly goal after 12 minutes and if Aron scores with his header from 6 yards i think we would have won and be in 4th place and things would have looked a lot brighter.Dont know what you think but they were on top in the first half but it was all us in the second and the conditions had a lot to do with that.I also thought that we played some great football in patches in the second half.Leek tomorrow will be another hard game as they are fighting for their lives and we have to make sure we match them physically before we can start to play our football. You are right about getting the ball wide too, when we do we look a real threat but we have to try and incorporate some of Frickleys desire and work rate to overcome sides who come to try and stifle us which happens pretty much in every game because we are Guiseley and we are a big scalp for the majority of teams in this league. What an over inflated opinion you have of yourself? 'because we are Guiseley and we are a big scalp'?!!!!! You're not bigger or smaller than 6 or 7 teams. Certainly no bigger than Buxton! How many 'ifs' in your summary of the Buxton game? Footballs a game of ifs and buts... One things for sure IF you don't take your chances then you don't win. Glad to see you decided that our first was because of a silly mistake (the goalkeepers dare I say it?). You do neglect to mention that we had one disallowed that no one on your team even appealed to the ref about... Had another cleared off the line in the first half and another in the second as well. The score should and could have been 5-2 to Buxton. You were flattered at 2-1. Wayne... You're not involved in the team are you?

Bfcpaul's comments on Saturday evening (re that afternoon's game):
"don't be all doom and gloom about it...I thought we made better use of the conditions and that was about the only major difference between the two teams"
Bfcpaul's comments on Tuesday (re that very same game).
"The score should and could have been 5-2 to Buxton. You were flattered at 2-1"
And on Guiseley as a club, and on us lot as supporters...
Bfcpaul - Sunday 9th March:
"Enjoyed the day out at Guiseley... Friendly club you've got there"
Bfcpaul - Tuesday 12th March:
"What an over inflated opinion you have of yourself?"
Amazing how the refreshing Yorkshire air wears off so quickly on some of our guests...

Fair enough...
re. The score, we did make better use of the conditions and that was the major difference between the teams. And yes, we could have won 5-2. The score did flatter you, however I stand by what I said. You have a good team, theres no need to be doom and gloom.
re your club and its supporters...
You do have a friendly club and I did enjoy my day out in Guiseley... I was merely saying that 'wayne' has an over-inflated opinion of himself / guiseley if he thinks you're a scalp. Everyone I met at your ground was friendly and chatty, just as it should be. If Wayne is a club spokesman and everyone at your place feels you're a big fish, then fair enough...

Dodgy chairman who made millions fleecing people, loads of plastic fans who appeared out of the woodwork once there was a few bob being splashed around and will leave when another team becomes successful?
