According to BPA forum the General AKA Bob blackburn says they have signed Mark Bett from you guys and he makes his debut on saturday.

Yeah that news was so last night. Don't let blue square wind you up otleybard. He's not really passing on news. He's a Farsley fan trying to rub the loss of one of Guiseley's best players into your face. But he's been given some good ammunition. Why has Bett been allowed to go a lower league club. Did the BPA CEO Bob"The General" (as he likes to be known) Blackburn splash his cash or did Bett send a wayward text criticising, say the quality of the half-time tea, that meant he had to go?

Afraid so guys.I have to state that he has gone against our wishes,we tried to convince him to stay and help us in our bid for the playoffs.He has done really well for us in our short time at the club and we are disappointed to lose him and whilst not knowing what deal he has got for himself im sure he will have significantly increased his weekly wage,probably signed a contract,maybe got a signing on fee and dont forget he lives on the doorstep.I wish the lad well,he was a pleasure to work with and im sure he will do well at his new club.

Thanks for letting us all know, Wayne. We're a bit thin on the ground on strikers now, but if a player says he wants to go there's not much you can do. I think a certain Mr Knight is going to be mentioned quite a lot on here over the space of the next few days...

It's just AB I'm that I'm worried about - he's gonna go ballistic now. I can see him eating even more chips to cope with the upset of losing Bettsy. Don't think there'll too many 'Lol's' coming from that direction for a while...

Thought we were building a team to challenge for promo to Unibond North not letting our best players go to rival clubs whatever the offer. We now have one striker who I hope is on contract, one on loan and one who has signed recently played a couple of matches and is now injured. Plus a centre back who now prefers to play up front.

Be surprised if we can get anyone of any calibre this late in the season and if we were to get promotion (in my humble opinion) we would need to build a whole new team next season with the exception of one or two individuals. And that to me is the point; its alright letting players go as long as their replacement is of a higher quality.

Agree with Bigj, bettsy looked to be gettin better as season went on, big loss, whos gonna operate the left hand side now? Ye think wilford is better defender than striker, best partnership is Jim and Tuck, but tuck bit greedy for my liking any agree? Gav knight bk mite be a gd option to take...

cant see why us as arich club cant keep the quality players like betsy , i dont understand becauce we now have to find a replacement , anyway goodluck betsy we might see you if you guys come up and we dont get the promotion wot every bodys talking about....mind you theres still a few players to be let go at farsley so ive heard..
