Team - Skiba, Hay, Merris, Ellis, Sturdy, Fernendez, Dunning, Crooks, Taylforth, Hanson, Wilford.
First 10 mins is pretty even - Wilford has had our best chance with a shot heading for the top corner which the Witton keeper tipped over the bar.

Half time 0 - 0. An entertaining 45 mins on a very heavy playing surface, in which we have more than held our own against the league leaders. Some crisp passing and tigerish tackling has limited the home side to a couple of chances from corners. Meanwhile we have had plenty of posession and Aaron Wilford has had our two best efforts on goal, a shot tipped over by the Witton keeper and another effort narrowly wide.
Could go either way second half.

68 mins Witton 1 Guiseley 0 a good finish by Adam Warlow from the only chance they have had this half - we have been much the better team this half so far.

FINAL SCORE Witton Albion 1 Guiseley 0 - very harsh on us, we played very well and were well worth a point.

Eastwood Town 3-2 Ossett Town Ossett couldn't hold on to a 2 goal lead. Eastwood winner in the 88th minute. There's a spell-checker on here...does anybody use it?

10/10 for the team today. We sure didn't deserve to lose this one, we controlled the game for the most part and did most of the attacking. I was a little disapointed not to see Gavin come on a little sooner as Aaron was tiring badly by the time he was replaced. May well have prevented the goal, who knows. He put in one superb cross that just skimmed James' head - so close! If we play to the same standard on Tuesday (Weather permitting ) Leek will suffer big style ;D

Hear, hear.
We made an excellent team look ordinary today, battling for everything, winning the bulk of the 50-50s, switching the ball about cleverly and doing everything except put it in the net.
Three more performances like that and it'll be interesting.

DEnied a stonewall penalty beginnig of second half in my opinion as we made the league leaders look a very ordnary team

Pritchard barged James out of the way as he was about to head the ball inside the six yard box.
The ref was a definite 'homer' today.

Fair play to your guys - you played really well and first half especially our keeps made 3 good saves. That said your keeper was the MOM by a distance - and not without good reason he made 4 or 5 fantastic saves to keep you in the game, especially in the 2nd half.
The finish from Adam Warlow was class and deserved to win the game though. As for the ref - he didn't do that much wrong and yes the pitch was very heavy after a torrential downpour last night - but not as bad as i remember nethermoor when it chucked it down all afternoon.
Good luck for the rest of the season
