Shame about the abuse the manager gets before he's had a chance to prove himself. Guiseley has wallowed in mid-table mediocrity for years. The changes now (after the disasterous Dolan spell) are setting the club up for a serious push at promotion. Kittrick seems to want to play the game the right way, and, while he needs to limit the Ossett connection, the signings he's made look strong. (Cotterill was solid as a rock last week, talked like the captain should, and played out of defence instead of banging the ball anywhere). Tom Greaves looks a better shout than Mark Smith who'd lost his way since coming back from injury. Knight has his confidence back. True, the playoffs are a necessity this season, but Guisely have never had a better chance of progressing. Lets get behind the manager instead of slagging him off.

With certain reservations I think I could agree with that. The guy deserves a chance, at least. I think we should just all get behind the team now, but then again, isn't that we do anyway?

Also agree with most of above,and I guess managers like working with players they know, but did he knowingly spend our money on a player he knew had an injury problem,Smith,and did our directors sanction this?

Ifeel i have to reply to mrsanns post regarding what i presume is about steve smith.We invited stev to train with us but at no time did we even discuss wages with him the lad didnt cost us a penny and he has now decided that hes not going to get back to the fitness required to play for us this season and has decided to call it a day.Hope this clears things up .This is benno ur ass.manager by the way.

not true new keeper cost nothing,seven day notice was put to ossett town,he wasnt on contract hence no money changing hands

The hot gossip at the moment suggest's Dickinson to move to Osset Town along with Danny Ellis who say's he isn't enjoying life at Guiseley.Something wrong at the present time within the club.Tuesday may see the last game for Steve,as Skiba cup-tied.I've been wrong before but didn't I get it right about Denton & Hall going to Osset.

It is true about speculating,but when you hear it from a certain source I have to believe and respect what they tell me.I only want the right result for Guiseley (which is a win)and whoever is selected I know the Manergerial Team will sign and select a Team they think will perform how they want their team to play.All that the fan's posting in this forum want is the truth about Steve Dickinson whether he continues playing for Guiseley or he is being shipped out? Skiba is a very good keeper but between us know that two into one does not go,especially at a uni-bond club,you don't keep two good Goalkeeper's.
