I'll be most surprised if the stand was insured at all. Given the nature and age of its construction the premium would be through the roof (excuse the pun). I would be concerned if they opened more than the left hand wing of seats and even that is pushing it. The matchday weather forcast is not the best with a cold rainy day expected. so sitting down might wisely be avoided anyway.
Lets hope the club will be in a position to issue some sort of advice regarding the use or otherwise of the stand or alternative arrangements for those unable to stand for the whole match.

rev How dare you compare the tragedy at Bradford City, were 53 people lost their lives, to the incident at Guiseley. Can I suggest that you take time out and think about what you are going to say and who,s feeling you are going to hurt, before you enter into discussions on forums. In your post you make reference to the advantages of the fire ,with total disregard to the families how lost loved ones.
I await your apology Steve Milner

at no point did i wish to undermine the tragedy at BCFC and the sad loss of life and to anyone offend by the remarks i do apologise. it was a factual statement the facts of the matter are one stand burnt down and a new stadium was built. this stadium stands as a memorial to all those who perished and as a legacy to the loved ones they left behind. your stand will be replaced by a much better one ok without the history but thankfully no-one perished and in time you will all look back and see this minor setback as a blessing in disguise.

Rev, I didn't actually take what you said as being in any way disrespectful to the people who died at City.

As ground belongs to council will it not be their problem ? Can only see it being a positive in the long run as it would need to go, to accomadate your promotion this season. Brolleys and Zimmer frames for Saturday dunkirk spirit and all that, hope the rain stays away but more important you get a result.

After my initial shock at the news, my feelings gradually became one of sadness. Sad that the event came as no surprise. Sad that a community club and its selfless volunteers has to face such a situation. Sad that the perpetrators of such a crime (if ever caught) are likely to be given more support than the club.
Constant and high profile pressure and accountability should be directed toward the police, council, elected representatives and others, to ensure that the club and this crime is not forgotten during the coming weeks and months.
In closing, I remember signs when growing up that stated "trespassers will be prosecuted," unless the local destructive element in our community, get this message loud and clear, it is sadly the case that further acts of destruction will be directed toward the club (as was the case even days before the fire).
