League form: - 1 point from last 5 matches - No clean sheets in last 14 league matches (dating back to August) - Two points off relegation - Managerless, leaderless and rudderless
What a complete mess.

A new low for me no desire no fight disjointed team. When one of the team comes up and you don’t deserve this says it all. No to onwards and upwards.

Liversedge have lost every game at home this season. Unacceptable but unsurprising that we are the ones to let them break that record. Anyone who denies we are in a relegation battle again this season is in denial.
Facts are facts and we have a squad that is currently incapable of getting results, no one secured to take over the managers role, a revolving door approach to player signings and a board who seem to be clueless when it comes to fixing any of this.

Two relegations in the last 5 years and the board have set us on a path to a 3rd.
It’s ok saying no one else will run the club but how many relegations are acceptable?

Indeed what a mess - the way things are going we will be playing alongside Ilkley Town in a couple of seasons or so. They appear to have ambitions !!

Didn't go today, so can't comment on performance, but losing to a team 0-9 on previous home games is not good.
We are definitely in a relegation battle now, but plenty of time to turn things around. With all the shenanigans from the last week, l'm not so surprised.
I'll wait for those who attended to provide a performance update.

First away game of the season and I can honestly say it will be my last. Absolutely ZERO cohesion, team spirit. Struggling to do the basics right and our completely and utterly inept defence is what cost us on an absolute farmers field of a pitch. We need to sharpen up and quick or we’ll be staring down the barrel of back to back relegations. Hopefully we’ll appoint a manager with NPL experience to get us out this mess and get us climbing up the league. 🦁

Agree it was a rubbish performance on a terrible pitch. But Guiseley have put in some very good performances away from home this season.

Dire performance today against poor opposition but they were good enough to beat Guiseley. We were the worst team in the league we were in last season and on current form (one point from the last 5 matches) we are the worst team in this league too. A complete shambles both on and off the pitch at the moment. The Board need to appoint a new manager with good experience at this level very quickly, give the him the resources to get the job done in the second half of the season and get this mess, which they have contributed to by their actions this season and inaction when it mattered last season, sorted out. Otherwise we will be relegated again. In any event I expect we will be in the bottom four by Christmas.

Need a strong manager who can get our talented squad playing as a team and not making the silly mistakes that lose us matches. When we lose to a team that have lost the nine previous home games then surely we can't sink any lower can we?

A nightmare in Liversedge. In a fairly cagey first half we fell behind to a strike from Walton who lobbed Trenerry with a volley. We hadn't really come close before that but Ackroyd, Whitham and Cassidy all nearly dragged us level with shots that went just wide. Three minutes before the break though up popped Cassidy with an excellent finish to level the scores, a great shot from 20 yards out curled into the opposite corner. We pushed on in what was left of the half but struggled on the bobbly surface. The second half started in a similar pattern to how the first half ended but we didn't make our dominance count. Cassidy had a glorious chance to level the scores with the goal at his mercy but he couldn't get his effort past the home defender on the line. He had another opening not long after which was again blocked on its way goalwards. With twenty minutes left though Liversedge got the winner with Walton again heading home after he was left unmarked. From that point on the hosts were the better team and worked hard to see out their win. It didn't stop Chippendale from heading over late on but this was after a couple of good chances for the hosts. We move on to a return to Nethermoor on Saturday against Morpeth in an early kick-off. Come on Guiseley! AB

As Big J so rightly says you need a strong experienced manager to build a team out of a squad, one who can recognise good players, play them in there correct positions and instill in them not just the will but the need to win. The Board need to find him or her sharpish.

A demoralising end to a depressing week, but I am trying to think constructively. What we need imho is:
1) The board to give Danny and Martin a specific period to show what they can do e.g. 10 games 2) No more signings except in dire emergency 3) Danny and Martin to achieve reasonably consistent selection and tactics working with what we have got 4) The team to roll up their sleeves and grind out results in conditions like today. That pitch was a leveller but there is no way you should concede 2 goals on it v Liversedge 5) Make use of Andy Kellett! What is a player of his calibre doing stuck on the bench with hardly any game time over the last 4 or 5 matches? If he is fit, use him. If he is not, don't put him on the bench. 6) We fans need to swallow our disappointment and see if we can lift the team and coaches.
There you have it, problems solved and I don't even charge for it.

Agree with 4 and 5 but it’s the management team that are responsible for both deficiencies in their team selection and motivation. I think having done what they have done, the Board need to quickly find a replacement manager and reinvigorate the whole dressing room, which probably includes some further additions to and exits from the current squad
