I think the point above about increasing stewarding in the short term is important Keep absolute control from now to the end of the season. How about a junior membership scheme?

I wasn't strong enough in my first point. The win was totally marred by the actions of that youth element. Its not something the club nor opposing fans should have to tolerate. The South Shields fans came in numbers, contributing valuable funds through gate receipts, were well behaved and then have to experience their coach being attacked. If I were them I wouldn't return.

I did notice yesterday that there was a much a higher number of youngsters at the game than normal, There were a substantial number of our academy teams youngsters attending this match and ALL were accompanied by a parent. Might I suggest that under 16 entry should be by season ticket only, giving us the opportunity to both identify and ban any badly behaved individual.

I understand the idea there but I’d be quite put out if I had to plan half a season ahead to bring mine to a game to see if they liked it. (Although as others have said, I’m also less likely to do this anyway when the chants and some big parts of the ground are not appropriate/safe for them sometimes)
I’ve no idea what it does to our revenue but I’ve personally no problem with kids needing to be accompanied. Doubt it’d entirely solve the problem though. They’ll go wherever they can get away with it, even if it means hopping the fence.

Well done to the club for swiftly implementing these new rules with additional stewarding. Strict, but sensible and fair. Hopefully, the detritus that has become a scourge at the club will get the message that they are not welcome, and we can return to normality in the future.
May I suggest stewards are posted at each turnstile for the near future to deter any chancers from pestering adults to accompany them into the ground.

That’s good. I’m reassured by the detail of what’s been put out. It’s well thought through and doesn’t complicate things for families or genuine fans. Really hope this is behind us soon.

A really strong an welcome statement from the club and I really like that they are seeking advice from other clubs who’ve been affected. Its almost that they read this forum 🙈

Good response by the club that should hopefully nip this in the bud and not inconvenience genuine young fans (which the club needs) and families.
There will be teething problems but something had to be done.

Good to see the Club taking action to stop the escalation of the problem, there are instances where some of the problems have been self inflicted, for example the Avro drummer who's drum was confiscated and then he ended up on the roof banging it with his drum stick with a big ball on the end of the stick, I was amazed this individual was not ejected or even arrested, just asked to come down, this was a clear breach of any clubs ground regulation under the climbing of structures inside a sports stadium, in fact it is a criminal offence, also extremely dangerous to the people stood under the roof.
I was amazed to read in this thread the person ejected against SS was seen not long after swaning around inside the ground again, hopefully better stewarding with clear zero tolerance instructions at the pre match meetings with the stewards who will also be bolstered by the extra stewards working with them, really sad that we ended up talking more about problems not on the field and less about the fantastic result on it, not since the old Conference North days prior to promotion to the Conference have I felt we could win every game going into it, we are not there yet but we are not far off in my opinion. Exciting times ahead

We’re not the only ones with that issue. I watched one of our bright lads get ejected at Alfreton and passed him again at half time near the food queue.
Of course it’s his friends who are whinging and slagging the club off in the Facebook comments.

Some are banned already as I understand. I saw first hand how they got back in at Alfreton or not actually ejected. It's close to home! Not Alfreton's fault.
