Most people I talk to recognise that injuries and suspensions change the dynamics of the team and last minute replacement cover doesn't help to produce cohesion, what we don't understand is how players who appear to be playing well in a role asked of them disappear and inexperienced academy players are expected to fill the gap and produce the goods in what we all know is a very tough league, then the manager instead of being grateful that indeed we have such players available uses this as some sort of threat to established first team players. So really I haven't heard from my seat in the stand any calls for PPs head just better tactics and possibly a calming cup of tea before being interviewed. Spur of the moment and off the cuff remarks have a way of coming back to bite you and everyone loses.

Gary Johnson always said "if you want to motivate players, get players who can be motivated", which I always took to mean "if you want to motivate players by shouting at them, get players who respond well to being shouted at".
PP seems to have a particular style of management, and one which not all players will prosper under, but if he can build a team of players who will then he should be successful.
There are worrying signs, but I think they are things to worry about if they're happening this time next year, not now. When he's got a team that he's fully happy with and a pre-season behind them then he shouldn't need to say some of the things he does, or make new signings every other day. If those things are still happening then questions will need to be asked.

Up to and including the Stafford Rangers game we were playing some good football and getting the results, even in the loss at FCUM I thought we delivered our best performance of the season and frustrated the hell out of them, but injuries and suspensions to key players have taken their toll and with a small squad we were always going to struggle. The players brought in on loan were never going to be of a quality to replace we had lost otherwise they would have been playing for their respective clubs, but listening to PP's interview the planning for next seasons squad is already underway so we are not waiting until pre-season to get our ducks in a row.
Have watched the Academy a few times this season and Dave has again recruited well and even in their first season you can see the potential, so next year they should be even better. Also glad that PP has included a couple in his first team squad lately. Was also good to see former Academy graduate Lewis Hey back on in action on Saturday.
