It does seem a bit strange that he's not even on the bench if he is not injured. I don't know if he's injured now or not, just I think Paul said in an interview a week or so back that he was available just not selected.

Jack was on the bench at Lancaster and came on for 15 minutes or so.

OMG the ref really did have a mare. Not one bad tackle in all four reds. Ok we can argue two players were on yellows and possibly might get a second but the other two are just ridiculous. The level of officiating is awful 80% of the time.

The level of officiating is awful 80% of the time. I suppose Chippendale's wasn't a bad tackle because it wasn't a tackle at all. He just booted their guy for no reason at all. There's just so much stupidity in the play this season, from pointless fouls to aimless long balls and crosses into empty penalty areas. Nobody puts any thought at all into what they do. Either they're being encouraged to play that way, or they lack the confidence to do anything else. Either way, the responsibility falls on a manager who seems to have no answer but to shout at his players and criticize them in public, then to bring in new ones when that hasn't worked. I know it's early days still, and there were flashes of promise, but I think I'm full on "Phillips out" now. I just don't like him, the way he behaves, or the way he has the team playing. His results are no better than Danny Ellis was managing, I imagine his budget is considerably higher, and it's all just so unpleasant to watch. The sooner his tenure is over the better, and if it does mean writing off another season and bringing more new faces in then so be it, because I suspect that's going to be happening anyway.

I guess Phillips has 4 games to improve things at most. If we lose in the FA Cup with decent prize money potential on offer then it may be goodbye.

I think as supporters of the team and the club you would hope that you liked and admired the management team. These men all approach their job differently depending on their personality and often a not particularly liked manager is supported by the fans because they are achieving the results promised unfortunately for us at the moment this does not appear to be the case. Guiseley is not a hire em and fire em club but our manager hasn't got the message as far as players are concerned and this is very worrying.

I have to agree with several comments about the quality of our play (or lack of it), but we did put in a shift once down to 10 men on Sat. Yes BPA had more of the ball as you'd expect with a man advantage, but chances were there for both teams, so a draw a fair result, probably.
Regarding the management, I agree that performances haven't been great and tactics could be questioned, but we need to accept that we are 6 games into a new season with 36 to go. As others have pointed out, we have nearly a whole team out injured or facing suspension, which can't help any management team. Has Mr PP been able to keep the same side in any match because of injuries sustained ? I don't know, but suspect not. I think we need to accept that right now, we are going to be fielding a make-shift line up until suspensions and more importantly key players return from injuries. Once we have the majority of players back & available, we will see how good we really are & hopefully performances will improve.
Ask Mr Bower to drop 6+ players from his starting line up & see how well BPA do after that. I suspect they would struggle also. So lets give Mr PP & his team the opportunity to turn things around first before making any rash decisions going forward ... in my humble opinion anyway. I'm sure others will & have a different opinion, but that's what this forum is for.

Bower might say we're a physical side but his players reaction to the slightest of challenges is gamesmanship of the highest order so no use moaning about us Mark. Kettle black and all that.
